  • Episode 47: Always Take a Step Forward - Feat. Cindy Gilbert | Real Voices Podcast

In this episode of Real Voices Podcast, we talk with Cindy Gilbert, REALTOR®, and how a life change made it necessary for her to move from California back to Arizona.

Previously a director of operations for a wedding venue, Cindy says she’d always been intrigued by the real estate industry. After becoming a REALTOR® in 2021, she knew she needed to find relationships and referrals, and has found much advice and insight from being around seasoned professionals. “You learn so much just by what other agents are saying their problems are, their successes are...that’s the best way to learn,” Cindy says. “It really gives me that confidence to just keep going forward.”

  • Episode 46: Learn, Always Learn - Feat. Grysell Garcia | Real Voices Podcast

In this episode of Real Voices Podcast we talk with Grysell Garcia, REALTOR®.

“I was licensed in April (2021),” Grysell says. “The reason why I wanted to become a REALTOR® a long time ago is mostly because...money! It’s a good income if you’re a successful real estate agent.” Grysell further explained that she also made the move for her kids, to be with them and their schedules, but being an agent is something she really wanted to try.

“I’ve always been in the customer service field...that gave me the opportunity to communicate with people a lot better.” With her experience in sales and marketing, she realized that she could do more, do better, and work for herself. “I think that a lot of people have learned during the pandemic there’s a lot of skills we have that we don’t have time to show because you’re so busy with your 8-to-5 and working somebody else’s dream.”

In this episode of Real Voices Podcast, we talk with Martha Navarro, REALTOR®.

Her greatest challenge in the marketplace? “Finding properties! It’s not only me, it’s life, it’s business, everything is different.” But, Martha continues, “I keep in touch with (clients) by different ways — Facebook, social media,” to always maintain communication with past and prospective clients and to assist them in finding their dream homes.

  • Episode 43: A Collaborative Effort - Feat. Brittini Bowers | Real Voices Podcast

In this episode of Real Voices Podcast, we talk with Brittini Bowers, REALTOR®.

Working as a REALTOR® for two years, Brittini Bowers has been in the industry for nearly seven years. She joined her husband’s real estate team — which was growing at a fast pace — in 2019. Working with him, Brittini says, is nice “...as we have common ground and can vent about the same things!”

Listening to clients’ needs and wants, and clients working with the agent’s expertise — it has to be collaborative, Brittini says. Marketing and touch points are at the backbone of her business and their team. “Even though they (clients) might not spend two seconds looking at that postcard,” she says, they’ll know that she is consistently working and ready for them. “You really have to be alive in your community.”

“I thought real estate was easy! I didn’t really know how much went into each transaction!”

With his background in marketing, Justin Roberts has been licensed for three years yet was not originally servicing buyers and sellers. He soon realized he had been looking from the outside in, thinking the job would be much different.

Today we speak with Chase Martin, REALTOR®.

Having worked in government, military, profit, and non-profit, and bounced around through many industries in his career, Chase knew he wanted to be a real estate agent even as early as grade six. “I serve those who need help.”

Coming into real estate right at the beginning of 2021, Chase has found many things challenging, including the market and atmosphere. One of the larger challenges he’s faced is his self-professed lack of conversational tactics, especially when on the phone. “I would prefer to meet people in person,” Chase says. But he’s quickly been discovering where he needs skill and even purposefully joined a team that would be able to accelerate his knowledge as well as benefit from his.

Today we speak with Carolann Pias, REALTOR®.

Carolann Pias began in the industry four years ago when she saw the need to assist her husband, Todd Pias (see Real Voices Podcast episode #39) with his growing business.

Sharing duties on their team that cater to each of their strengths, “It’s been much more successful than somebody would think with a husband and wife team — it works well!” says Carolann.

Having lived a challenging life, one as a child in a military family, and even with ongoing medical issues, Carolann is proud that perseverance and work ethic has not stopped her doing what she loves. “Sometimes it’s a little bit harder to push forward, but I always have.”

  • Episode 39: Making Memories With Folks - Feat. Todd Pias | Real Voices Podcast

Today we speak with Todd Pias, REALTOR®.

Todd has been in the industry since 2004, both on the residential and commercial side. He found that he much preferred the residential aspect of real estate as commercial was all about the numbers. “I found no emotional connection there.”

With his experience in retail management, Todd says he developed a lot of good skill sets that led him to what he does now as a REALTOR®: Taking care of the customer, hoping to make the experience unparalleled for them, and helping them make memories.

“A lot of that is not the real world,” Todd says, in response to his view on the misconceptions of what people think of real estate agents because of portrayals on industry reality shows. “What we do is relentless, it’s hard work — every day is different. You put on a different hat every day and just take it as it comes.”

Listen to Todd speak on developing relationships organically, managing expectations, and working with his wife in their business.
