AI amplifies what is already there. That includes strong processes, and it includes weak processes and poor data too.
In Part 2 of our conversation, Mark Heywood explains why AI transformation has to start with the business problem rather than the technology, and what a human-led, AI-enabled approach looks like in practice.
We cover:
Helping leaders and organisations to think about the ways they can help everyone to Realise Potential
Everywhere we look in our personal and work lives AI is becoming increasingly more prevalent. In so many ways it’s helping us to be more efficient and knowledgeable.
So, it’s no wonder that organisations are continuously pushing leaders to realise more cost savings and efficiencies by introducing AI and automation.
I rarely have a conversation with a leader at the moment where this is not one of the top priorities.
Successful transformation starts with understanding the business problem not selecting a new process, framework or technology. Well, that’s obvious…or is it!
Many leaders discuss their strategic plans with precision and gusto with their purpose at the heart of their plans. And then in the day-to-day work, somehow that north star gets lost a little. Leaders start to spot a process that’s not working, or hear about some new technology that they think will ‘transform’ a team or process. And then, just like that the equation is turned on its head.
In this episode Realising Your Potential; The Podcast we shine a light on on Human led but AI enabled with Mark Heywood.

Every great leader has a story — not just of success, but of learning to see the world differently.
Moments that shift perspective… conversations that open new doors… and sometimes, the courage to ask: What if there’s another way to lead, to think, to thrive?
In this episode we speak to the extraordinary Dr Joan van den Brink, to discuss Neuro Inclusion and what coaching and leadership really means in this arena.
Together, we discover how embracing every kind of mind doesn’t just change how we work… it changes who we become.

Do any of these sound familiar….
🤔 Your career is going well, yet your inner voice says “I’m afraid people will find out I’m not as capable as they think”
🤔 You’re experiencing personal success and often say “I just got lucky”
You are not alone—this negative inner dialogue, despite your achievements, is known as imposter syndrome.
Join Paul Speight and I to explore the topic of imposter syndrome
And if working through your imposter syndrome sits on your new year's resolutions, please reach out to discuss how we might work on this together

Welcome to episode 6 of Realising Your Potential; The Podcast.
In this episode we speak to @Ashana Critchton and get a snapshot into the power of coaching, whether that's for teams or individuals and the difference this can make.
Highlights from Ashana include:
🔍 The belief that people do not need "fixing" but rather, their solutions often live within their own lived experience.
🌍 We are more different than we are alike, so it is key to think about every person as an individual.
🚀 When dealing with rapid change, coaching can greatly support leaders.
💬 You cannot be the expert in someone else's life; give them space to be the expert.
💖 Recognize the human kindness involved in giving people space and time to think.
Thank you very much to Ashana for being our guest
