As the Coronavirus spread across the land, we humans followed the directions of public health experts and the government to shelter at home until the government told us we could go out again; to stay away from other people until we were told to go back to work and open restaurants, beaches, and parks; to wash our hands well and often, the one direction that still hasn't changed; and to wear masks in public now that we don't have to save them for critical care workers but without any penalty for not wearing a mask in public. All this has happened in two months. Directions are different from one state to another and from one day to the next. The rapid changes and mixed messages are stressful--whiplash producing. So what can we do to get through this without whiplash?
