👵 This ~All in Spanish~interview with my Abuelita was done on September 12, 2020 as we visited her in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua Mexico. At 93-years old, Chelito, a Duranguense born 🦂 later moved to Ciudad Juárez. She tells her story about what she dreamt of doing as an adolescent, The “Cristeros” being a group that would kill and rob people on trains and who killed Abuelita Chelo’s father when she was 2/3 years old. She also speaks about her continuous years of knitting 🧶 even at 93 years old, having a better vision than you or me. With more emotional topics, Abuelita Chelo also speaks about singer Juan Gabriel, when she lived near him, his childhood with my mother, the school he attended, the block he lived on, and her favorite song that reminds her of someone special.
