"If elected, I hope to encourage our youth to get involved politically. Many people do not realize which aspects of their lives are directly impacted by some form of government agency or policy, whether it be garbage pickup, potholes, gas emissions, education, employment income, taxes, or even the cost of milk and bread. All these things, and so much more, are impacted by politics, which is why it is so important for us to know who we have in the room, in the chair, at the table, representing our interests.”
If there is one thread that runs through his resume from working as a Program Coordinator at the Department of Transitional Assistance, serving as the youngest Parish Pastoral Council Member for Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, and also as Executive Committee Member of the New Bedford NAACP it is a commitment to service. The city council would represent the next step for Burgo."
