What if the stories we’ve believed about ourselves were never the full story to begin with?
In episode one of the Really Related podcast, I’m unpacking what it means to let God rewrite the narratives we carry — the ones built around perfectionism, burnout, career identity, grief, disappointment, control, anxiety, motherhood, success, and striving.
For years, I believed my worth was tied to my job title, productivity, creativity, and how “put together” my life looked from the outside. But through loss, adoption, corporate burnout, infertility, my husband’s cancer journey, layoffs, rebuilding seasons, and ultimately drawing nearer to Christ, God began reframing everything I thought success was supposed to look like.
This episode is about surrender.
About letting go of the pen.
About trusting that God can make something beautiful out of every broken chapter.
We also dive into:
— Why the prefix “RE” became the foundation of this podcast
— The connection between restoration, redemption, renewal & Revelation
— Finding identity in Christ instead of achievement
— ADHD, creativity & learning to see yourself differently
— Corporate burnout, slowing down & rediscovering purpose
— How God sometimes answers prayers by removing what no longer aligns
— Rewriting the stories we tell ourselves through God’s truth instead of the world’s expectations
Key Scripture:
Isaiah 43:18–19
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing…”
My prayer is that this episode reminds you that God is never finished restoring, redeeming, rebuilding, refining, or revealing Himself to us.
We are all really related through the stories we carry…
but even more than that, through Christ.
