This week's mini is a bit more of a mixed bag when I share a few thoughts/updates on a variety of subjects - starting off by giving a few more thoughts on how utterly terrible and broken the FL unemployment assistance system is, a bit of personal promotion for Patreon, some heavier politically-oriented thoughts based mostly around Juneteenth, and it gets wrapped up with some quick thoughts on the first two episodes of Loki that have aired.

In this mini episode, I get right down to the [not-so-great] news of the day: being laid off from work. It definitely sucks and I'm still trying to rationalize it all, but that's a thing that happened and I felt the need to talk about it really quick and share with the podcast subscribers.

So, I didn't really want to jump into the big deep subject matter on the first mini-sode and since none of this is too planned out or pre-written (which you can definitely tell), I  figured I would start with something on the lighter side of things that I had experienced on the day I recorded this - those damned car caravans blocking up traffic in order to celebrate ____________.

Don't worry though, these won't all be just one-sided conversations of me complaining about arbitrary subjects - and I plan on keeping them to a length of about 10-15 minutes, on average.

Somehow we neglected to post the last pre-COVID 19 recording - what horrible screw-ups we are (well...at least one of us).

No additional summary here, just enjoy the sounds of some jackasses hanging out before our lives were fairly upended by all the craziness going on in the world.

Still not sure how we got there right at the top but we kick off this episode by analyzing how The Flash [and other speedsters] actually move while running - to the point where we're spending time discussing their strides (lol). And we can't get through any discussion about The Flash without doing our favorite Zoom quote - hence the title of this episode. 

Some more comic book/movie talk ensues and then segue into how persnickety or not we each are when something go wrong with our food orders, historically. And lastly, we recorded this just after the (controversial...?) Super Bowl Halftime performance, so we go into it a bit and discuss several people's ridiculous takes on that moment in the show.
