RealRadio

Open door policy (ODP) in full effect in this episode with guest Nkumu Katalay.
He came by after a recent performance and we got to chop it up (yes, Daemian Brown decided to put on his guest host shirt for this episode) about the writing process, Congo and the upcoming triple album.

Whether you're discovering him or you've been a fan, the highlight of the show for us was the live music session! First ever!

"It must be a natural phenomenon how we still can remember where we're coming from". And so it continues to manifest itself.
Dare we believe that an artist like Mere is a representation of that undying spirit?

To hear him tell it inspiration is communicated to him; he gladly accepts to be a vessel.

During his last visit Hans came on as DJ Hanzi and for a while now we've wanted him back as Hans Augustave, the film director!
With one of his short films currently circulating in the festival circuit, he came on to discuss Nwa: another project, loosely based on his life experience, about a young immigrant boy having to make an important decision.

Oh! and yes we did discuss his bubbling event series: Reprieve Party.

It's lovely when the "Open Door Policy" is in full effect.
Samantha returned and took full advantage of it; in this episode we were finally able to have a long format discussion around her beauty brand AYIIKO.
In addition to giving your ears the self care they deserve from the audio vibrations that emanate from the podcast you'll learn about a brand that will improve your skin care.
Thank us later!

Introducing KYTE Games, a series of challenges where teams demonstrate their physical, strategic and finesse skills as they compete against each other.
The competition is the creation of artist Kofi Yours Truly who also serves as the MC and lead official.

In this episode you'll get to meet some of the competitors and the DJ's that provide the soundtrack to this whole ting!

If you ever doubted the fact we do this for the pleasure and enjoyment of it, this episode will prove you wrong!
Daemian & Pierce joined me in studio pour parler de tout et de rien.
We know it all (definitely not!), so hear our advice on getting your teeth fixed, the fall of babylon and prison reform.

It’s always nice to see talented people on their come up!
We don’t claim to be A&R’s or talent scouts (maybe we are!) but to see a selectHer like AQ continuously grow,  it's enjoyable.

She’s been increasingly getting noticed as DJ, particularly for promoting African House music.

We discussed the pandemic playing a role in her ascension and the music she produces in light of her more recent release “Are U Here 2.0”

Art conversations are always enticing for us; it's sometimes an enigma understanding what the artist intends to convey and who they're attempting to convey that too.
We always ask about the accessibility of the art: Colleen Kong-Savage is accessible. So is her art.
As an illustrator, muralist, paper collage(r), it has to be a word, her most recent work involved murals working with Thrive Collective in schools around the city. She's also working on a yet to be released illustrated children's book.
All that and more in this perfectly accessible episode!
