Today we are exposing you to one of the most wonderful people in our lives. Vera- the alter ego of Kirsten- is someone you need to meet to really understand us as a couple. She's the fruit of some really hard seasons in our lives, and we are telling you her birth story on this episode. Warning: you might be insanely confused after this one. Today is basically a shaming episode of Kirsten's lack of educational comprehension. Not really (sort of) but we are getting a kick out of sharing with the world how old Kirsten was when she realized some very key things about geography. It's all too perfect- as we are homeschooling our kids and there are definitely some "yay for homeschool" moments where Ben's confidence is anything but high when he realizes the main teacher of his children isn't quite sure where the Sarah Desert is. (and almost typed it dessert cuz who can remember the difference?!)

We have some very different ways of getting into the present moment. Ben likes floating, and Kirsten would rather die than lay in a tank of water with no sensory perception (aka death). But we do agree on the IMPORTANCE of being present in life- and lately Kirsten has been on a spiritual journey to really comprehend what that means. And as per the usual- Ben is along for the ride. We got pretty REAL today- I mean of course, sharing how hard it has been for us to be original and to do our own thing. Oftentimes we feel we have to fit our expertise or excellence into the proper box that others have defined... but what do you do if you just don't fit in any boxes?! You make your own dang box- and that's what we've been finally realizing over the past year- we do NOT fit in anyone else's box- which is actually a cool opportunity to create something phenomenal.

We might get some hate but we just don't know why so many parents are turning a blind eye to kids having cell phones and opening them up to the world we live in- far before they are ready to handle it! We are weird-and we're ok with it. No social media for our kids until they are grown. Judge us- we don't care. Agree? Cool- welcome to the club.

We're sharing what we loved about our trip and the luxuries we would never trade that were worth the extra prices! Also the thing Kirsten missed that still has her all kinds of ticked.
