Is Christian "over dependence" a sin? In 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 Paul tells us that we as Christians are to "...work with your hands as we instructed you, so that you may walk properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one". Paul made tents to support himself and took support from the church as secondary.
