The next set of "good things" we are going to examine are the soul comforts that are ours because of the working of our great High Priest, Jesus. He has imparted to us Justification through his efficient sacrifice, as well as giving us the power to live out His life… but today we are going to think about how the life of Christ in us produces the comforts that we all so desperately need! About how Jesus' life is poured out into us who are HIS.

Grace doesn't do away with the law, it establishes it, showing us how seriously God takes both His justice and His mercy. That's why we hold fast to the grace and authority of God's Word: it's the standard we return to again and again. And because sin can take root and grow quickly when we're not paying attention, guarding our hearts isn't optional, it's how we stay anchored to grace instead of drifting from it.
