Today, I want to have a very honest conversation with you. Because today, quite simply - I'm not okay. And I think sometimes we need to say those words out loud. Not package them up in something pretty. Not follow them with, “But I'll be fine.” Not immediately reassure everyone around us that we're okay.

Sometimes we just need to say, I'm not okay. Because there is so much hiding behind those three little words.

When Life Changes You

Nobody warns women in their 50s how much loss can arrive all at once. One day you’re managing your career, your kids, ageing parents, relationships and expectations and then suddenly life shifts. The marriage ends. Kids move out. You lose a parent. Health challenges. Career transition. And in my case, a bushfire blazes through and wipes out almost everything I spent decades building. Then the version of you that held everything together suddenly feels confusing and unfamiliar. And somewhere in all of that, you quietly wonder: Who am I now?”

This Podcast exists to have a conversation about the invisible grief women carry.

The grief of:

• losing identity
• losing certainty
• losing relationships
• losing confidence
• losing purpose
• losing health
• losing the life and freedom they imagined at this phase of life

Loss doesn’t always look like death. Sometimes it can show up dressed as change and /or a traumatic event.

I know what rebuilding feels like. I know what it feels like when life cracks open what you thought was stable. I’ve been through divorce. I have one kid still at home – the other moved out rather unelegantly. I lost a parent last year. The other has BiPolar and Dementia. My closest friend of 40 years’ was diagnosed with breast cancer back in April. Another close friend lost her husband suddenly a year ago. I walked away from a lucrative business. And in January, I survived a Bushfire and I am still rebuilding – both myself and my property. I know what loss looks like. I know what grief feels like. And I know what it is to sit with trauma and anxiety.

I’m going to talk about:

• Trauma

REINVENTION

• rediscovering confidence
• purpose after parenting shifts

• courage and strength you never knew you had
• building a life that feels more aligned and meaningful
