Brody joins the show from Washington D.C, where he is situated after a year of pitching in the Cincinnati Reds organization. He and I connected through Corey Ito when Brody was at Gonzaga University. Bryan sits down with freshly minted Olympian Heath Baldwin to talk about his experience in Paris, what he remembers most about the games and where his career will head in the future. The idea for this interview originated on July 11th when Bryan drove to Hackett Catholic Preparatory in Kalamazoo Michigan for a send-off celebration for Baldwin. On July 14th, as mentioned in the video, Heath left for Germany and the wheels began to turn regarding how to best share his story. After many phone calls, we settled on bringing him in for a feature story. What you see before you is the culmination of 6 weeks of conversation. Keira McNamee is a women's hooper at Hope International University in Fullerton, CA - but her story is considerably more than this. She is an advocate for mental health, who is studying biblical topics and looking to convert her knowledge and learnings into quite the adventure post school. In a twist of fate, God brought Sydney Burns and Tiernan Shoudy together at Ultimate Training Camp in Fort Collins, Colorado. Sydney is a point guard for the UC Davis Aggies, and Tiernan a forward for Michigan State ice hockey. Sydney is a long time friend of Bryan's as they grew up being neighbors and graduated from high school together. Tiernan is the roommate of Matt Basgall, who came on the Confluence in Season 1. In this electric crossover, Sydney and Tiernan bridge the gap of faith and sport by speaking on their time at UTC, how their last seasons went and they uncover how their relationships with God have been strengthened since being in college. Throughout the show, there are significant undertones of leadership, culture, and trust in His plan.

I drove to Inkster, Michigan in order to film this episode with Kamaria McDaniel at her family home. It was a phenomenal experience to take the show on the road and tangibly see where a guest comes from. Her story is full of twists and turns, but the one thing that stayed consistent is God. Kamaria walks in faith, and this is illustrated through her basketball journey at Penn State, Baylor and Michigan State. She is pursuing international basketball as well as climbing the ladder in real estate, and enjoys reading, fashion and other passions that make her to into a joyful mosaic of experiences. Cindy Sember is a professional sprinter for Great Britain, and currently is pursuing her third Olympics, with Paris 2024 well within her sights. Confluence Podcast got divinely connected with her and the experience was truly nothing but pleasant. Bryan Zoom called with Cindy from Atlanta, GA proving that the show is becoming national now... We spoke about her Olympic training cycles, how God has shown her the separation between her identity and her sport, what her college career looked like, how her family is doing and it means to have run in international meets alongside her sister.
