“We have the capacity as we develop more awareness to be able to choose again.” -Meghan Aris, 2021, I AM RESILIENT. Podcast
Meghan is an embodied movement educator and health coach. She spent years diving into the process of creating meaningful movement and thrives in helping others discover new patterns and supports to live a more inspired and healthful life. She believes everyone’s body has its own unique gifts and loves to light the path for people to discover theirs! Meg says if there’s one thing she has learned through her own journey it’s that the quest we’re on is about seeking excellence which requires inquiry, failure, vulnerability, and resilience. When we are ready to start opening those doors the awe and wonder of our exceptional gifts as humans reveals itself to us.
Meghan has completed two comprehensive pilates trainings (The Pilates Center, The PhysicalMind Institute), several levels of yoga teacher training and trauma informed somatic studies. She has been faculty for many different pilates and yoga training sessions around Vancouver Island and the lower mainland, as well as throughout Canada. She also holds a bachelor's degree in writing and anthropology. In 2010, Meghan joined the team at Fix Healthcare Victoria and continues to lead the pilates program there. She is also passionate about sharing clean living practices and choosing non-toxic products for our homes and our bodies. Meghan lives in Victoria, BC, with her dogs, chickens and bees.
In this podcast, Meghan shares her incredible insight into our human intelligence and innate ability to be resilient. She shares the story of her journey from illness to wellness through resilience practices. She explains the tools she used and the response of the brain and body. Meghan has a deep understanding of healing and I recommend tapping in to her wisdom at every opportunity.
Meghan reminds us of the incredibly important simple ways we can reconnect with the signals our body has for us. These require listening and connecting to ourselves and our surroundings. She also reminds us to connect with others through community to enable nervous system recalibration. She offers RECALIBRATION practices and holds a community through The Hub Life (link below).
Meghan’s inspirational strength and gentle motivation is medicine for everyone who is blessed to be around her. Even her voice embodies healing vibrations and intonations. As you listen, notice your shoulders soften, your jaw unclench, and the rigidity you may be holding begin to release. Whether intentional or natural, Meghan has the unique ability to invoke humility and softness in those around her, so get ready. Your healing journey begins as you listen.
