When we are told to scatter seeds in the Gospel... what does that really mean?

We all have experiences of changing others' perspectives and ideals of the world by giving the gifts that God has given us. We have the chance to explore this in more depth with Sister Nicole, who joins us once again to explore some her past in relationship to a teaching environment.

This week is a look at the statues being torn down across the country, not just Confederate monuments but also those of the Christian faith. Father Joe and Father Rix debate the importance of statues that cross the lines into the importance of those symbols for faith communities, both who have a very different take on what's going on. While we can be divided on a topic like this, both Rix and Joe encourage us to overcome the anger and frustrations we feel in order to find dialogue and conversations that can move us forwards and heal us as Children of God who all deserve love and respect.

With the world rising up for reforming broken systems that hurt minority communities around the globe, Father Joe and Father Rix discuss this past week's Atlanta shooting of Rayshard Brooks in addition to the ongoing protests sparked by the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Father Joe shares certain experiences to highlight the discretion law enforcement has, and the controversial topic of the "Defund the Police" movement. It's been a difficult week for all of us. This episode seeks to encourage us to take a breath and reflect on the Gospel that is so meaningful to all of us.. John 3:16-18. It’s been a rough week for the U.S., where things look like they are only going to get rougher. Father Joe and Father Rix are joined by Sister Nicole this week to discuss the killing of George Floyd and the protests and riots going on across the country.

It's a very special episode today as Fathers Joe and Rix join Sister Nicole for a conversation about finding a spiritual home after a life of searching.

Sr. Nicole offers such a needed viewpoint in her upbringing in the Catholic faith, while dealing with the issues many young folks face in trying to find a hope.

It's powerful hearing from someone who's gifts hadn't been fully realized by her past communities, and the personal transformation and realization that has only risen to the top recently. But there are deeply profound messages within this short saga.

It's an episode we hope give hope and love to all those searching for a home, and reassurance that it is possible in the least expected ways.
