    New Zealand Oil & Gas (NZO) is looking to switch its primary listing to the ASX and launch a rights offering. Alphabet (GOOGL) misses estimates for its first quarter results, YouTube came in at $6.87 billion vs. $7.51 billion expected. Microsoft (MSFT) results meet and beat expectations for the third quarter across the board.

  • The Twitter board approves Elon Musk’s $46.5 billion bid; QEX Logistics is delisted from the NZX; It’s raining takeover offers for Pushpay.

    The Twitter (TWTR) board votes unanimously to approve Elon Musk’s bid to buy the social media company. QEX Logistics is delisted from the NZX after a saga of censures and fines for not meeting market disclosure obligations. Pushpay (PPH) informs the NZX it's received buyout offers and interest from third parties.

    To fight inflation the Reserve Bank hikes the OCR by 0.5 percent. Lululemon (LULU) launches a trade-in and resell programme for gently used leggings, tops and jackets later this month in the US. NZME (NZM) inks an agreement with Meta (FB) to support subscriber growth and retention.  New Zealand King Salmon (NZK) seeks $60.1 million NZD to change its farming model and reverse high fish mortality rates.

    Shopify (SHOP) wants to restructure its shares with a stock split and unorthodox shares for CEO Tobi Lütke. The Commerce Commission has granted provisional approval for the NPA to start collective bargaining with the Meta (FB) and Google (GOOGL) overlords for content deals. ResApp (RAP) signs a deal for a takeover by Pfizer (PFE) for its machine learning technology which detects Covid-19 from audio recordings.

    Spark (SPK) starts a process that may lead to selling off part of its cell tower network. Amazon (AMZN) argues the election that created the first union of its workers was “tainted”. BlueScope (bsl) is to buy Cornerstone Building Brands (CNR) owned Coil Coatings  for $500  million USD expanding its US holdings greatly.
