Fortescue’s (FMG) underlying net profit for the half fell 32 percent to $2.78 billion dollars. Airbnb (ABNB) sayS revenue came in at $1.53 billion US dollars, higher than the $1.46 billion expected.

  • AMD and Xilinx make a record-breaking deal; Infratil downgrades its earnings guidance; BHP beats expectations for the first half-year.

    Infratil (IFT) expects its EBITDAF for the financial year to be in the range of $500 to $520 million dollars. AMD (AMD) buys Xilinx (XLNX) for $50 billion USD, AMD Chief Executive Lisa Su to be CEO of the combined company. BHP (BHP) profits for the half year came in at $9.4 billion US dollars, which was up 144% on the same period a year earlier.

The Crown Resorts Limited (CWN) board unanimously recommends a buyout by private equity firm Blackstone.
