Receiving Goodness: Gentle Horizons

Listen Later

What happens when we finally come out of something difficult and step into something good?

In this episode, I explore the often-overlooked challenge of receiving goodness. We know how to survive hard seasons. We know how to endure, push, analyze, and brace ourselves. But when ease, joy, and stability begin to appear, they can feel unfamiliar even uncomfortable.

Why is it sometimes harder to receive blessings than to endure struggle?

I share reflections inspired by my poem Gentle Horizons from my book The Frequency of Life and speak about the sacred transition from adolescence into adulthood. What I call the “6th house.” That space where resentment, responsibility, and intellect meet and where we begin stepping into the adult role of caring for our own inner child.

In this episode we explore:

·        Moving from survival mode into receiving mode

 ·        Why ease can feel unsafe after difficulty

 ·        The shift from teenager to adulthood and the resentment that can arise

 ·        Taking responsibility for your inner child

Trusting that God / the Universe is always oriented toward your greatest good

 ·        Learning to receive joy without guilt

If you are coming out of a hard chapter and stepping into something softer, brighter, or more aligned, this conversation is for you.

You are not behind.

You are not foolish for struggling with the transition.

You are in the right place.

Give yourself a hug.

You made it here.
