What are Rhythms of Life?
Rhythms of Life are the regular patterns and schedule by which we live our lives. We all have them whether we realize it or not. We all have regular things we do and regular seasonal rhythms throughout the year. The question then becomes not if we have Rhythms of Life but rather what are our rhythms and who or what are they serving?
As followers of Jesus, we are to be his apprentices/disciples. In order to become like Jesus we should apprentice to Him by following what He says (Words), what He does (Works) and how He lives (Ways). Our aim in our life should be to follow His Rhythms of Life and to pattern our own Rhythms of Life after His.
This season on RE:CENTER, we are going to be discussing the seven different Life Catagories to build these rhythms and practices following Jesus. You will then take what God is saying to you or inviting you into in each Life Catagory and add a plan to your personal Rhythms of Life workbook.

Many thanks to the voices we are echoing in this podcast, these thoughts are not original but are following many who have gone before us in following Jesus.
Welcome to Re:Center. This podcast is a place for our church family to gather and listen for what God is saying. These episodes will be like letters to Center Church, we call it Re:Center because it is like the Reply in the subject line of an email and it will function like a reply to what is going on around us in the world and how Jesus wants us to respond as citizens of His kingdom.
As followers of Jesus we ask His kingdom come and His will be done here as it is in heaven. This podcast will seek to reply to our church to center our lives on Jesus and His kingdom, to live our lives in obedience to His Kingdom today, to bring the order and healing of Jesus to the chaos and sickness of this broken world.
This episode is the 3rd of a 3 part series where Sheryl tells her story as she grew up in Virginia as a young black girl and travels to Lake County IL, where she gets married and raises a black family, and in this episode helps our church family to be intentional about kingdom diversity and welcoming others. So listen and hear and learn what it was like for Sheryl and her family. Listen for what God is saying to you. How can bring Kingdom diversity to our church, neighborhoods and cities?

This month is Black History Month and we are excited to have Sheryl Gray join us on the podcast. Listen in as we ask Sheryl Gray to share with us the significance of Black History month. As a church and as individuals, we want to hear other’s stories so that we can see the world through other’s eyes.
Starting March 1st we will be rebranding and relaunching the podcast. As we begin a new chapter as Center Church, we will be naming the podcast Re:Center. The podcast will be like a reply in email, where each episode is like a letter to our church, in response to where Jesus is leading us or in response to what is going on in culture around us.

This episode of the podcast will unpack 2 main blessings we can find only in community according to Solomon in Ecclesiastes. We are never meant to toil alone or for ourselves. From the beginning we were created for relationship. Pastor Mark spoke on Ecclesiastes 4 on Sunday 2-7-21. These are expanded thoughts and application from that sermon.
Thanks for joining us and we hope this will help you work in a way that honors Jesus and joins in His kingdom work.

This episode of the podcast will unpack 5 ways God has designed us for work. It was never meant to be a vain toil, but that is how it often feels. Pastor Mark preached on Ecclesiastes 2:17-23 on Sunday 1-31-21 and mentioned these 5 points, but did not have time to unpack and apply them, so we will do that here.
Thanks for joining us and we hope this will help you work in a way that honors Jesus and joins in His kingdom work.
