Pastor mike offers the SECOND of nine indicators that a gospel tune-up (if not a complete overhaul) may be in order in a "Christian life." How is it that our Christian lives can so quickly lose their gospel foundation? Furthermore, how can we be so far off at times...together?!?  We need to be looking out for each other and speaking the truth. Not to condemn, but to cooperate in the wonderful lifework of Christ-rooted transformation into peaceful, peace-making, pieces of heaven in a world that needs it so desperately.

Franklin County, OH went to COVID-level Purple last week. What's that mean for Vista?

Pastor mike spends a few minutes before the podcast remembering our sweet friend, Sarah. And then wraps things up in short order after mentioning a few other things including our latest efforts to find the right solutions to church: Conversations-in-the-Round!

Pastor mike talks about the first "Conversation in-the-round." Something he's been anticipating trying  for years, and did you know there's still an undefeated team in the N.F.L. halfway through the season? Guess who!

Some people are truly psychosomatic triggered, let's not minimize them. DeWine anticipates a return to certain closures in Ohio, and the (mostly) fictitious character, Benjamin Martin, in the movie Patriot says, "Aim small, miss small."

Some of the phrasing in my last podcast lacked precision and I learn what I should've known: this election-cycle has ground people down such that political topics alone can be disheartening or even damaging...at least for now. Eventually though, my hope is that Christians can set the standard and honor Jesus by demonstrating healthy, undivided community amidst all manner of diversity and differences.

A new prez & veep (elect) will take office in a few months…we will be doing much to help the country by praying for them, and this morning we started a new thing at Vista too!

Pastor Mike kicks it into overdrive to pack a church update down into an 8min recording. This is the same update he gave to the Vista Leadership Community last night via Zoom. Enjoy!

Part 2: Getting through election week...better yet...helping others get through election week AND contributing to the health and unity of our country will require attending to stuff that's hard to see. Let's take a look and then help one another flourish rather than flounder in the coming days. Here're 5 things to help you bring some grace and peace to bear...
