For thousands of years, the Jewish people had been looking and waiting for their

promised King. They were expecting a great military leader, one who would overthrow

all of their enemies and restore Israel to its former greatness and glory. What they had

not expected was that their King, born the son of a simple carpenter and homemaker,

was coming to save them from a far more dangerous enemy.

Join us this Christmas as we explore the Gospel of Matthew and study the truths of

Jesus’ birth and the significance that they mean to all who choose to make Jesus the

King and Savior of their lives.

In the book of Philemon, the Apostle Paul writes a personal letter addressing a complex situation between a slave owner and a runaway slave. A slave charged with the penalty of death because of his chosen separation from his master. A slave that finds hope in Jesus.

Through Paul’s appeal to Philemon’s faith and love, we see the transformative power of the Gospel to transcend social divides. Philemon is a letter that could be written for us all, as we once were running away and now, through Jesus, we can find Reclamation through him
