Music is a very hard thing to avoid, and as Muslims it’s even harder for us not to listen to music. As we all know Music is haram and the Prophet SAW did not enjoy music. No matter how it is phrased or changed, music will stay haram. How can I stop listening to music? That is one question that might’ve popped up in your head a few times. The answer is simple, listen & recite more Quran.
Music and Quran don’t mix, only one of them can reside in your heart. Music is Shaytan’s (Satan) words, The noble Quran is Allah’s swt words. Try to incorporate more Quran into your daily life, you can listen to the Quran whilst doing homework, studying, riding in the car, and other activities. In’sha’allah (If Allah wills), he will make your heart become attached to the Quran. As that begins to happen you will grow to hate music.
Death can come at any moment, and how would you feel if Allah took your soul away while you were listing to music. Would you feel happy about that? No. Isn’t dying while listening to Allah’s beautiful words a more noble way to leave this dunya?
Omar Hisham Al Arabi (amazing and calming recitation of the Quran)
The origins of music (must watch)
My favorite a Quran with color coded tajweed, tajweed rules, English translation of each surah, Allah’s beautiful 99 names, wird by word translation, large arabic words, and the Quran is nice and big. (A4 size.) It is the complete and entire Quran! It is worth the money, very good quality.

By no means am I a scholar, sheikh, mufti or any other person who has advanced knowledge of Islam. All my research is done from hadiths, the Qu’ran itself and from watching lectures by sheikhs, mufti, and other respectable people who have advanced knowledge about Islam. All words and opinions are my own, any information on topics I speak of you can back up with videos by those of advanced knowledge of Islam. I try to be as authentic as possible, but if I make a mistake, May Allah forgive me. I do not by any means try to spread false information about my beautiful religion. As a Muslim I will never hinder others from the path of Allah, nor do I have the authority to.
