Sometimes, our hearts get tangled in the actions of others—what they’ve done, what they might do. Whether it’s a personal offense or a troubling world event, we find ourselves consumed, unable to look away. Recently, this happened to me. I know all too well that where I put my focus, I put my energy—and even when I felt my energy slipping into the wrong places, I still struggled to pull away.
Then Psalm 37, verses 1-4, offered a gentle release:
“Fret not yourself because of evildoers...for they will soon fade like the grass…”
These words reminded me that fixation drains us. But the pivot comes in verses 3 and 4:
“Trust in the Lord…do good…befriend faithfulness…Delight yourself in the Lord.”
To befriend faithfulness is to trust, to do good, to delight. And in that delight, the desires of your heart begin to unfold.
As you think about that, remember these words: “Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.” Psalm 37:5 (ESV)
This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

So today, pivot.
Be Reflective: Are you fixated on something you cannot control, or are you befriending faithfulness in this season? What would it look like for you to delight in the Lord today?
Be Prayerful: Merciful Father, help me release what I cannot change and turn my gaze toward You. Teach me to trust, to do good, and to wait with a faithful heart. May my delight in You become the doorway to the desires You’ve placed within me. Amen.
Be Fed: Psalm 55:22; Isaiah 58:14; 1 Peter 5:7
