For too many people, the message of Jesus has been so distorted, mismanaged, abused, or watered down that they are walking away from a cheap imitation rather than the real deal. Part of reclamation faith is people coming together to identify the pure heart of Jesus amidst the cultural captivity of his mission and message.
This episode looks at what is needed to reclaim the good news of Jesus from the institutional churches that may have tarnished it for so many people. We also touch upon whether Reclamation is anti-church (spoiler: it's not), shame as a component of some church impact, and how community is needed to seek healing and truth in this endeavor.

In this week's episode, we'll begin a 3-part definition of "reclamation" and how it functions on the individual, corporate, and divine levels.
Reclamation begins with individual people making a choice to believe that the journey of faith is not over, and that displacement might hold an opportunity for something new. We'll explore what it takes to make this choice, what it might look like for you, and what often stands in the way of people reclaiming their role in the story of faith.
We also break down the world "role" and the unexpected way we can see ourselves as a hero in the greater causes of God in the world.
Reclamation starts with spiritually displaced people recognizing the possibility of the wilderness.
Those who have been alienated from churches or find themselves on the margins of religious establishments often are made to feel in the wrong, as though they are lost and alone. But sometimes this is exactly the place where something new and crucial can grow.
In this episode, we explore what we mean by "displaced," how people come into such a spiritual state, and sources of hope for those who find themselves moving away from church as a spiritual home.
Reclamation's goal is helping spiritually displaced people reclaim their role in God's story.
Great! So what does that mean, and how is it going to work? In this short intro, we set out a broad picture of what we're undertaking with this project, and where we hope to see it go - with the help of a growing community.
