Esther’s sermon explores Matthew 18 and the problematic ways in which the church has exercised authority in recent and distant memory. She’ll likewise reflect on the failures of the vapid impulse toward blind approval, “live and let live.” Her presentation suggests a nuanced way, inviting listeners into a harder but ultimately life-giving alternative.
