CHRIST IS RISEN!

Looking at 1 Corinthians 15:1-22, we take away the following:

What If Christ Had Not Been Raised? (v. 12-19)

1. Our Preaching Is in Vain (v. 14)
2. Your Faith Is Useless (v. 14)
3. We Are Still in Our Sins (v. 16 & 17)
4. Those Who Have Died in Christ Are Gone Forever (v. 18)

5. We Are of All People Most to Be Pitied (v. 19)

IT'S GOOD FRIDAY!

As we hear Gods word from Ephesians 2:1-3 and learn about the death of Jesus on this momentous weekend for Christ followers we take away the following four things:

1. Christ's death paid the penalty we deserved. (Sacrifice)
2. Christ's death removed from us the wrath of God we deserved. (Propitiation)
3. Christ's death overcame our separation from God.(Reconciliation)
4. Christ's death "redeemed" us out of bondage to sin and to Satan. (Redemption)

Looking at Ephesians 5, Steve and Anna took us through three practical steps on how to live out Ephesians 5:

1. Cultivate your Garden

2. Renew the Covenant

3. Serve the King

We had a morning learning all about the Holy Spirit and being filled with the Spirit. Steve shared from the book of Mark to teach on the Holy Spirit.

We had the joy of hearing Steve Van Rhyn preach on 2 Samuel 9:1-12 where we learnt all about God's kindness. The kindness of:

1. A promise kept (David showed kindness through keeping a promise, an expression of beautiful kindness)

2. A friend (This act of kindness from David was toward Jonathan - be a REAL friend and not a deal friend)

3. The ultimate king (Jesus invites us to his table)

We loved having Prince preach on Esther 4:8-16. We took away the following three points:

1. Certain circumstances will prompt us to embrace our true identity.

2.Mordecai's faith doesn't rest on Esthers efforts.

3. We have been appointed for such time as this.

It was such a privilege having Nkhanyiso Dlamini preach on his last Sunday with us at Reconciliation Road Church.

We looked at Genesis 12:1-3 and the story of Abram on the journey to Canaan.

Don't be satisfied with less then what God calls you to.

We end off our Joseph Series with Blake preaching on Reconciliation. We looked at Genesis 50: 12-21, and learnt to get out of God's seat.

Kenan continues our Joseph series looking at Genesis 40:1-23. We dive into how Joseph modelled suffering. Taking away three things:

1. Suffering is just the start

2. Serve in your suffering

3. Grow in your suffering.

This Sunday was Sign Up Sunday and we loved hearing from Blake the heart of serving and our identity in the House of God.
