With more people than ever before seeking answers, meaning, and faith in the face of increasingly uncertain times, churches around the world are faced with dwindling numbers in their congregations. More and more, people are leaving the church. This does not, however, mean that they are turning their backs on God or giving up on finding meaning in faith
Picking up on a thought that featured in our previous episode, Nikki and the team over at our blog drop some wisdom about seeking first God's kingdom and righteousness in today's episode - but from a remarkably different angle! You can read the post at https://as-it-is-in-heaven.com/seek-him-while-he-is-near/ .

RE:CONNECT WITH US
In the second episode of our series on prayer, Jayden unpacks the three vital pillars of living a life of faith: the word of God, actions based on understanding God's word, and prayer. Today's episode is packed full of verses and tips to aid all of us in developing practices and, eventually, the practical habits needed to be certain that we are truly and fully living out our lives of faith.
RE:CONNECT WITH US
Reading the Bible alone in your daily devotional time and meditating on its teachings, history, and the promises recorded in it is one thing... seeing the fulfillment of those things right before your eyes is something completely different, though. And that is what is happening in Shincheonji right now!
Happy New Year! Here at Reconnect, we are starting off 2023 with an in-depth look at prayer. This follows on from the previous episode - the last piece of our spiritual armor (mentioned in Ephesians 6:12-18) which was... you guessed it: prayer. If you want to know more about how to pray so that your prayers are answered, or take a closer look at why prayer is so transformative and powerful, then today's episode is for you! In this episode, Jayden looks at some of the Bible's teachings about prayer - things that might surprise you!
The final installment of our series dealing with God's Armory outline in Ephesians 6 deals with prayer.

For a few brief strokes of a pen, a signature carries a lot of weight in human society. Before pens were a readily available tool, people used stamps for the same purpose. Those stamps are called seals (nowadays you can pick up all sorts of cute wax seals for adding that olde worlde touch to your scrapbook, wedding invitations, or greeting cards). Did you know that some key verses in the Bible tell us that, as believers, need to be sealed, too? But what on earth does that mean, and how (without enlisting the aid of hot wax and an enthusiastic friend) can we be sure that we are actually sealed?
The word meditation is inexorably linked to ideas of far eastern mysticism and new age spiritual practice, but as early as the time of Isaac (Gen 24:63), the Bible tells us that God's people have been meditating. So, how does one meditate on God's word?
In this week's episode, Jayden takes a look at the offensive weapons mentioned in Ephesians 6:16-17 as part of our series on the Armor of God. The sword is a weapon that has uniquely captured the imagination of our culture; whether in the legendary Excalibur or the Katanas of Japan, swords are an indispensable part of pop culture... and it just so happens that there is a spiritual sword that God has prepared for you, too!
In the wake of tragedy, it can be really difficult to reconcile the hope we have in our faith with the hopelessness and powerlessness we feel. But even there, in the darkness, God is reaching out His hand to us, offering us truth and life. Granted, neither of those things can really make us feel better in the moment - but with understanding, there is something more profound than comfort to be found: hope.
