Introducing "The Zevon Chronicles." In this series, I'll dive into Warren Zevon's records, reviewing the album and providing context to how the record came to be. In this episode, I take a look at arguably Zevon's best record and certainly his most successful from a commercial perspective, "Excitable Boy" (1978). This album features, "Roland The Headless Thompson Gunner," Excitable Boy," "Lawyers, Guns and Money," and the lone top 40 hit of Zevon's career, "Werewolves Of London."
