It's one of the best days of the year for music fans and audiophiles as special limited-edition records are released, stores reveal tons of new inventory and a bunch of bands play FREE gigs from noon to night. On this show, we're playing music from several bands gigging on Saturday. We'll hear brand new stuff from Brandon Phillips and The Condition, just released as part of the 7" Too Much Rock series - you can catch them at Mills Record Company on Saturday. Also playing at Mills, we’ll hear from The Freedom Affair and The Greeting Committee (lead singer Addie Sartino will be playing a special set). We’ll hear from Hembree, who is about to release its debut album on Thirty Tigers Records; they’re playing at Vinyl Renaissance & Audio. We’ll hear from Instant Karma, who is playing at Revolution Records Kansas City and also Les Izmore, who is playing at Records with Merritt. So much music and so many bands playing.
And beyond RSD, we’ll hear from They Call Me Sauce, part of Nublvckcity, playing on friday at Replay Lounge and a brand new one by a brand new act named LyMerrick. Also, it’s PLEDGE WEEK and we hope you’ll consider pledging to the station.
