Sit with me as we hear from Chad Pettit. Chad is a US Army Veteran and a very passionate High School English Teacher from Central Texas. Chad's story is very inspirational and his stance on educational reform is commendable. Chad speaks about his experience of being a teacher, feeling as though teachers and students are stuck in the middle of a political battle. Chad is an amazing individual and I have all of the respect in the world for Chad and what he has done not just in the Army but in the classroom and for our children.

Sit with me as we hear from Joe Stanley. Joe is originally from Clayton North Carolina but is currently in North Dakota. Joe is an addict in recovery. Joe speaks about his experience with drugs and alcohol, as well as some of the more traumatizing experiences while in his active addiction. Joe has speaks about his current recovery program and how it has shaped him into the man he is today. Joe speaks about the different ways that addiction attacks the mind, body, and spirit. Joe and I also speak about what Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) means to him and his big takeaways from attempting MAT. Joes story touched my heart and left me speechless. Joe's journey back, his redemption is an amazing transformation.

Sit with me as we hear from Juan Gregory. Juan shares his experience of years of addiction to alcohol, multiple incarcerations. He speaks of his strength in recovery, and the hope for the future. Juan's story is amazing and he is an inspiration to everyone around him. Because of recovery, Juan has been able to hold down a job and get a promotion, pay for his own apartment, be a better father to his son, and a productive member of society. Juan's story has inspired me.

Sit with me as we hear from Wesley Powell. Wesley is a Veteran of the United States Army. In his tenure with the Army he was an Artillerymen and an Apache Helicopter Pilot. Upon Medically Separating from the Army, Wesley seen a significant need for support for those who are suffering from mental health disorders as well as suicidal ideations and attempts. Wesley created a support group on Facebook that aims to help those who are suffering. Wesley speaks about the hardships facing those who do service work. We spoke about common misconceptions in the service field and even had a nice surprise at the end.

Sit with me as we hear from Michael Mooridian, who is personally one of my mentors in this crazy but beautify journey we call Recovery!!! Michael is an experienced counselor who has a vast history with addiction, relapse, and recovery. Michael is a founding member of the Alaska Therapeutic Court Alumni and is the Historian for the National Treatment Court Alumni Association. I am very Honored to have Michael as not only a guest on my show but as a part of my recovery journey.
