An explosion at an Accurate Energetic Systems (AES) plant in rural Tennessee on Friday, October 10, 2025, killed 16 people and wounded at least four others. The blast, which was felt for miles, occurred at the military explosives manufacturing facility near McEwen, approximately 60 miles southwest of Nashville.
