Emily Cooley recently joined the His Way team as an intern as she pursues her master's degree from Auburn University in Clinical Rehabilitation  Counseling. Emily shares about her background and how she came to have a specific passion to work with those that are incarcerated and helping them while incarcerated and through reentry programs.

Matt Reynolds has been involved with His Way for several years when he began leading a CrossFit class on campus for our residents. Last year he helped create our weekly "Table Talk" series on Wednesday nights where all our residents meet with Christian men to spend time together and discuss spiritual issues relevant to their recovery and their lives. Join us as Matt shares how he went from Jesus not being a part of his life to now actively living out his faith in our ministry.

Andrew Reynolds is the son of our Director, Tom, and has known about His Way since his dad began working with us over 10 years ago. He has worked at our thrift stores and in the past few years he has been a spiritual mentor to many of our residents through an exercise ministry and more recently through his leadership in the Wednesday night "Table Talk" series. His Way is now a critical part of how he is living out his faith.

The His Way program includes many classes and group therapy but as important is the time our residents spend in individual counseling and building relationships with spiritual mentors. Richard began a Christ-centered recovery ministry in our area in the 90s called "The Bridge Group". He was instrumental in introducing many Christians to the need to minister to those struggling with substance abuse. He inspired our Executive Director, Tom Reynolds, to become involved in recovery ministries, and his influence led directly to the establishment of our original residential ministry, The Way.
