Today, I've got a brave soul with me ready to share her story of Coercive Control as part of our #1000storiesforchange campaign. 

Linda shares how she met her first partner and was engaged at age 18 and married not long after with two young kids - and how a serious car accident that could have been fatal, woke her to the reality of her deep unhappiness. 

Linda shares her experiences of leaving multiple times, how she was further isolated after leaving by moving interstate where she had no community, family or friends to be connected with, and when the final she left, the police patrolled her neighborhood to ensure her safe leaving and living in a Women's Refuge. She also bravely shares the countless texts and phone calls she received from her then partner and the process she went through to obtain a No Contact Order through the court system. 

Yes - what Linda experienced was horrible and painful. But you'll also hear the hope she has, the strength that radiates out of her, and her words of wisdom on the recovery and healing process.

We take a break from normal programming today to honor the life and work of one of our own who died on Tuesday, December 5th 2018. 

Today's episode features an interview with global change maker, Louisa Tew whom Ashleigh interviewed for our sister podcast The Virtually Awesome Podcast earlier this year. 

Louisa was changing the world and supporting families across nations and oceans to lift themselves out of poverty and change the prospects of entire communities. 

This interview honors her life, and Ashleigh asks that you take a moment to really drink in what and how this incredible soul was pioneering social change.
