Here Becky talks with Jo who is an amazing Educational Resource specialist
We look at the ethos behind recycling, re-using  and  encouraging sustainability with children, 
Jo's background is as an Early Years Teacher and a play lead for open access play projects  with the ethos of play being Free to use, free to choose, free to come and go as you please.

Jo and Becky chat about the  use of  real open-ended objects, she uses china and inspires the children to explore the opportunities this brings through risk management and the use of objects that are not plastic .  We explore understanding the world through nostalgia and looking at the history of the objects with the children (all of that from a tea cup)!!  Complete trust in the children and in our  skill as professionals is to pin-point when it is we can support. 

We look at how  we support play and extend this in our own environment.
The vision for Jo and the the team at The Recycling Shop now is to reduce landfill and build communities.  Jo talks about the treasure and the gold dust of re-using  these real items and reintroducing them  into education.
