A strong beginning does not guarantee a faithful finish. Samson was physically strong but morally weak, and his unchecked desires led to his downfall. Though he was called and gifted by God, he failed to live up to that calling because his heart drifted from God. Samson’s story reminds us that a person can be chosen, gifted, and even used by God, yet still live disconnected from Him. If we’re not careful, we can fall into the same pattern in our walk today. His life is a warning to guard our hearts and remain close to God so that we can finish well.
