In this episode of The Red Light Sports Ramble, presented by The Red Light Sports Network, Evan Witalison and Troy Otradovec will recap all of the Elite 8 games. Four teams were cutting down nets, as they won they region: Wisconsin Badgers, Kentucky Wildcats, Michigan State Spartans, and the Duke Blue Devils.
Wisconsin struggled shooting, once again, in the first half. The second half was a different story, as it seemed, the Badgers could not miss from behind the arc. Arizona stayed in this game by getting to the foul line; 30 times, and out rebounding the Badgers by one. Sam Dekker iced the game, with a high arching three pointer with 20 seconds left, making the score 84-76.
Kentucky remained perfect, only after Andrew Harrison made two free throws, with 6 seonds left. Jerian Grant missed a three pointer from the corner, as time expired. In a back and forth game, Kentucky outlasted the Irish, 68-66.
Tom Izzo is going back to the Final Four, for the seventh time. Louisville and Michigan State gave the fans, an extra five minutes, of basketball. As the media talked to Travis Trice, Denzel Valentine, and Brandon Dawson, without sharp shooter Bryn Forbes, the Spartans may have been watching the Final Four, from Lansing, MI. Forbes made 4 or 6 three pointers and finished with 14 points.
All-American Jahill Okafor was held to 9 points, on 4 of 10 shooting. However, the other four starters all scored, in double digits. Led by Justise Winslow and Matt Jones, with 16. Like Forbes, the Blue Devils should be putting the microphone, in Jones corner. He buried 4 of 7 three pointers, and the Blue Devils took control of this game late, and never looked back.
