  • Ep.12 – Political Conflict and the Awakening Soul

We live in a world of conflict.  It’s everywhere we turn.

It steals our peace and threatens our future. And it seems like everyone wants to fight.

Yet somehow we have to move through these situations in ways that enhance our ability to advance on the spiritual path, rather than relegate us to the karmic wheel to come back and try again.

So what is the role of conflict for awakening souls?  How might it serve their upliftment toward Oneness? What does it show them about themselves?  How does it impact (and reflect) their ability to love and be loved?

These questions and more we’ll explore in our discussion today.

My thoughts are triggered by the affairs of our outer world, most notably the political battles playing out over who will control the reigns of power.

It’s hard not to take sides.  As our solar system moves deeper into the photon belt, the ever-increasing energies are pulling us more and more toward the extremes of our personalities and locking us into the perspectives they bring.

Even listening to anything other than that which resonates with our polarity is a challenge.  As a result, middle ground is becoming harder to find. For those caught in its throes, compromise has become a thing of the past.  We have no place for any action not aligned with our polarized desires.

No wonder people are so ready to fight, and use every interaction with those of diametrically-opposed views to do so.

Social media is their battleground, where Twitter and Facebook provide forums where they each can tee off against the other.

Superimpose upon this the erosion of the common foundations of our society, like morality, the family and belief in God, and there’s little to reign in their animosity or temper their outbursts.

So the conflicts grow and grow, each setting in motion a new wave of attacks and counter-attacks that escalate their wars toward an uncertain future.

Machiavelli would be proud.  For at its core is the implementation of his advice to the prince, “The end justifies the means.”

This growing divide certainly challenges us to find peace in our time, much less to create an atmosphere where it can grow in society.

So what’s an awakening soul to do?  How does it serve our journey back to Oneness?

    My History of Conflict

Most of you know I was a lawyer by profession.  It is within this crucible, this arena of legalized conflict, that I developed many of my ideas about fighting.

Of course, it didn’t start or end there.  For I spent decades in the martial arts, first in karate and later in tai chi, ba gua and other systems.  While those were great practices for body/mind/spirit unification, at their core it was about combat — avoiding attacks and striking targets.

Between the two of them I began to see the effect of energy in conflict.  Energies to be cultivated and mobilized. Energies to be opposed or redirected.  And energies to advance a cause, desire or interest.

In law those energies were primarily mental and emotional, as well as those wrapped up in the financial implications involved.  In martial arts, those energies were physical, manifesting as momentum, blocking and striking.

All were invisible to the naked eye, yet to anyone involved in either venue they were very real, and very much impacted outcomes.

But my experience with conflict didn’t stop there.  It was embedded in me, and reared its head in so many ways.  When my self-determination was impinged by others telling me what to do, I reflexively fought back, sometimes with more vigor than required.  The commitment to free will was strong in me, and remains so to this day.

Yet always my actions — whether in law, karate or my personal affairs — were always with an eye toward peace.  My way, my style of fighting, was not one of aggression, but of overwhelming defense applied to negate attack and dissuade opponents from continuing.

All conflict requires an opponent, even the conflicts within us. Someone to attack, or be attacked by, us.  It pits us against others or other parts of ourselves. And the objective is always the same — to win. Sometimes winning meant simply doing enough to stop the attacks; at others it meant disabling or pummeling them into submission if they wouldn’t.

And this is where the focus of attention must be to prevail — avoiding being harmed while stopping the attack, even if it means doing harm in the process.  Someone wins, though the cost may be high. Another loses, or at least doesn’t win.

Yet in life, that necessity for victory runs counter to having a peaceful life, much less one where combatants can put their differences behind them and move forward together in harmony toward a future that serves them both.

This was easy in martial arts.  Combatants routinely shook hands and walked away friends.

But in law and life, it wasn’t always that way.  Animosity was nearly always generated that made it hard to get along as conflict left its scars along the way.

Yet this is exactly what’s happening in our political affairs.  Both sides (I use this term generously, because within political conflict there are rarely just two sides, but rather many competing interests that come together in common cause, only to separate and turn on each other once their joint opponent is overcome) — anyway, both sides want victory so badly that they undertake a scorched earth strategy to get it.

Rather than simply neutralize and co-exist, they try to obliterate the other and all they stand for.  And with such an intention, it makes it very hard for those who are not interested in such an absolute outcome to weave through the energies and thwart attacks without succumbing to the mindset of battle and the desire to win.

This is how I see politics today — two (or more) sides hell-bent on directing their energies toward obliterating their opponents, to rendering them impotent if not non-existent altogether.

Neither one is focused on how they might do so in a way that will allow both sides to move forward together.  Each only sees what they want to see and believes what they want to believe, all to enhance their battle-readiness and ability to prevail.

It is within this environment that we awakening souls find ourselves, dragged into the fray by the combatants as well as our own needs to express parts of ourselves we’d rather not see but feel we must just to survive.

Yet, somehow we’ve got to move through these conflicts to create the peace needed to bring forth the best we have inside, while conducting ourselves in ways that enhance our journeys to Oneness.

It is a tall order, one I don’t pretend to have mastered.  But I can illuminate some of the issues involved to perhaps offer incentive, and maybe even a way to get through it to where we want to go.

    What are we doing?

Let’s step back and look at our conflicts another way.

We are in a very real sense creating a Gordian knot, a problem so large and complex that it cannot be solved by ordinary means, much less by any one individual.

Everyone involved must help, yet most seem more interested in perpetuating and escalating conflict than resolving it..

Putting more energy into advancing one side or another doesn’t seem to be the way.  All that does is set the stage for greater (and possibly more violent) confrontations to come.

Do we really think that the breakdown of society, or even civil war, is the answer?  For that appears where we’re headed — toward war in one form or another. That has been the history of human consciousness over the years, to fight over what we want and believe, with the victor imposing its will upon the vanquished.

Both sides of the political divide are locked into their way of seeing things.  Neither seems capable of seeing things from the other’s view, much less exploring some third alternative that neither wants to consider.

These days they can’t even listen to views unaligned with their own, much less talk to each other any more.  And as I learned in law, when communication breaks down, conflicts escalate until they reach a point of no return.

It is within this environment that awakening souls find themselves.  Of course, most of us still have our polarities and root for one side or another.

Yet on the spiritual path one eye is always turned toward the journey home, urged onward and inward by an inner voice whispering that there’s more to what’s going on than they know, and urging them to find it.

So let’s examine some of the fundamental spiritual principles to see how those might guide our efforts.

    Law of Free Will

First is the law of free will. Free will is after all the first distortion that set in motion our universe and the system of creating and gathering experiences within it.

It is the guiding principle behind all interaction of separate entities — each wants and tries to go its own way.

It is this commitment to free will that always had me questioning authority, to stand when they told me to sit, and to think for myself rather than accept the group mind-think they forced down our throats.

Even when I didn’t know what I wanted, I resisted others’ efforts to impose their wills upon me.  Just like now I do my best to resist efforts of all sides in the political wars to drag me into their games.

It’s not that I don’t agree with some of what they say.  Like you, I gravitate toward one side. But I fight the tendency to immerse myself in it, because I know that I am just as drawn to elements espoused by the other, and I know that picking one means I probably have to deny those other aspects of myself.

And in my view, that path will not lead me to the wholeness that I seek, the wholeness that we are.

But we each have free will.  It’s our birthright, imbued at the time of separation from our Creator.  We each have to decide how we’ll use it — to fight to win, or to find a way to move forward toward unity consciousness despite the differences that we now use to keep us apart.

For every soul has the right to make its own choices, and that includes how they relate to others in this world, as well as the systems and institutions under which their affairs are conducted.

But having that right is not absolute.  It comes with responsibility to exercise that free will in a way that doesn’t impose upon or restrict the free will of others.

I call this the principle of spiritual justice, to exercise free will in a way that empowers and expands your soul, as well as the souls of others.

As you can see, the great political divide completely ignores this principle.  Free will is given lip service, especially in the realm of free speech. For we’re only free to say what others are willing to hear.  Anything else risks retribution and reprisal.

For the entire objective of politics is to impose one’s will to advance desires or avoid fears.  The battles playing out now are efforts to convince us to go along with what they want — and if we refuse, to deny us the right to even have a say in where we’re going or how we’ll get there.

By definition, in political conflict free will is denied.  Worse, there is no justice for the soul that fails to win the war for power to make those decisions.

    Oneness

The second principle we’ll consider that impacts our awakening is the idea of Oneness, that at our core is a unity of consciousness and being from which we all came and to which we all return.  And through the experiences of our lives, we slowly clear the distortions that keep us apart.

Think about this for a moment.  We are all One. And we live in a polarized universe pitting self against not-self, yet somehow charged with the spiritual task of working toward our unification.

If finding wholeness is the goal, denying one extreme of our collective being to advance another sure seems like a strange way of getting there.

Yet this is indeed where we are, trying to find or create unity by imposing the will of one aspect of ourselves to the denial of all others.

    Such a paradox!

We are born into a universe to exist and gather experiences separate from All That Is, with free will to decide how we’ll live our lives and get along with the other aspects of creation — or not.

We’re each unique.  Our differing vibrational signatures make us so, expressed through the myriad physical, mental and emotional variations we see throughout humanity.

Many of our interests overlap.  But many of them don’t, putting us in conflict.  How we deal with this conflict reflects who we are and why we’re here.

Some focus only upon the lives and society in which they live, and the issues and interests that influence them.

Others, maybe even you, look to find a way through this conflict while they journey toward Oneness.

Yet regardless of our orientation, we’re all on this journey home together.  For at our core, we’re all one.

So in essence, when we fight with others, we fight with ourselves.  The energies in them are in us, and when we direct those energies outward in conflict, they impact us just as much as those they’re directed against.  The repercussions reverberate through us all.

While we think we’re fighting for righteousness and justice and all the other good things we like to think our side supports, what we’re really doing is fighting for separation.  The rift we create within the body politic, however, remains within us as well. For we make war not upon others, but upon aspects of ourselves that we don’t even recognize as part of us.

And that should make awakening souls sad, that the wholeness they seek is denied by the way they see themselves and conduct their affairs.

I therefore constantly try to check myself and see things from other perspectives.  Because I know those are not just others’ views — they’re mine as well at a level I don’t always see, and there’s only one thing worse than succumbing to our outer conflicts, and that’s falling into the abyss of the great divide they create within us.

Perhaps, then, you might examine your own beliefs and perspectives about the political wars and the actions they lead you to take.  Do they take you closer to Oneness? Or serve to separate you from the wholeness your journey inspires you to seek?

    Love

Love is the second distortion of creation.  It is the power that enables us to gather experience.  It’s presence or lack determines the quality of our time here, as well as the path of our journey home.

It is the choice of love through the exercise of free will that allows us to advance.

So perhaps we should take a moment to remember Jesus, the master teacher who came to help us make this choice by turning to love.

After all, the purpose of this 3rd density world we’re in is to learn about love. But in our political affairs love seems to be the last thing on our minds.

Or is it really?   For aren’t the conflicts of our polarizations just as much about our desire to be loved by having things go the way we want, as they are about the outer issues over which we fight?

Our opponents don’t want what we want so they must not love us.  Nor us them. So what do we do to people that don’t love us and openly oppose what we think will make us feel loved?  We fight. That’s certainly a strange way to find love. But then again, people are strange.

Love, though, is often interpreted in the eye of the beholder.  We find it hard to love that which doesn’t comport to what we think we want or believe.

Politics, in this sense, is the act of trying to find love for self by denying love to not-self.  It is the ultimate expression of service to self.

You might say that conflict is a one-sided way of applying love, not only for ourselves but for our identities and desires and all the things we want to fill our lives with.

Jesus taught us to love our enemies.  Not just to tolerate or co-exist with them, but to love them — and to love ourselves while doing so.

Forgiveness is the key to doing this.  He said to turn the other cheek when they assault us or do things against our interests.  Not once. Not twice. But as many times as they do it.

Unlike the eye-for-an-eye teachings of the Old Testament to smite those who smite us, Jesus knew that only love was the way to get where we really want to go — back to the Creator that is our source.

Love allows us to forgive.  And forgiveness stops the wheel of karma so we can break the cycle of conflict and move on.

Yet who thinks of love when they’re fighting the good fight over what they want or believe?  Who forgives political opponents their trespasses? Who is willing to turn the other cheek, effectively saying, “Thank you, sir.  May I have another?”

Even if we have love for nothing other than ourselves, political conflict should give us pause.  For while it may allow us to express love for ourselves, our beliefs, and others who share them, it denies love to those who don’t.

Just think about it.  Is loving part of ourselves, while denying love to our other, separated aspects, really a path to wholeness?

Maybe political conflict is, at a spiritual level, not about what is happening in this world at all, but rather a choice whether to return to source, or stay here and enjoy the fruits of our separation a while longer.

    Which way will you choose?

    The Law of One

This brings me to my next point for today — the Law of One.

Some of you may have heard me speak of the Law of One before.  It was shared by Ra through a series of channelings in the 1980s to explain the nature of reality, the purpose of life and our return to source.

As our spirit and consciousness expand through the experiences of life, we begin to hear the inner voice that tries to guide us through the maze.  It empowers us to see the relationship between self and not-self in new ways. And more importantly, to see ourselves and what makes us the way we are, to give us choice over how we will conduct our affairs as we awaken to the oneness at our core.

According to the Law of One, here in 3rd density reality we exist in a continuum of consciousness.  At one end our focus is upon service to self. At the other the objective is service to others (or not-self).

As we evolve, we make choices and perceptions that enable to move one way or the other — toward serving others, or serving self.

Ultimately our goal is to move sufficiently toward one end or the other until we are freed from the bonds of 3rd density and ascend to new levels of consciousness as we make our way home.

Love is the tool by which we make and implement this choice.

As an aside, it should be noted that Ra says the vast majority of us will make the journey by evolving toward service to others.  I therefore assume that you are in this category, though you may see yourself differently and choose the way of service to self and manipulation or control of others.

Even though you may be moving toward service of others, however, this doesn’t mean denying love to yourself.  For it’s hard to serve others if you don’t feel loved, or have anything left to give.

In the view I share with Jesus (and which on its face appears to depart from the polarized extremes of the Law of One), we’re left to find our balance between the two, to love others both AS and WHILE we love ourselves.  Not just in the same way, but also at the same time.

For since we are all one, to love one aspect of ourselves while denying another fails the test.  Somehow we’ve got to find a way to love both, even as we evolve toward our chosen extreme.

Expanding consciousness allows us to see where we are along that continuum.  There’s no right or wrong place or way to go about it. We’re all different, on different paths home that we each must find and travel.

Each of us is subject to different distortions that keep us separate from the Oneness at our core. These distortions create the differences that contribute to the unique expressions of our Creator that we are.

Yet ultimately each of us must make our own choices about our relationship to the others (or not-selves) that inhabit this world with us.  Those choices determine the nature of our experiences while we’re here.

The Law of One, then, has us recognizing our journey to Oneness, and the seeking to know ourselves as Creator.

Yet within the political realm, we only see separation and conflict, as if the other side is trying to go somewhere else.  Or at least choosing another way to get there.

Conflict, at its core, is an act of service to self.  For if we are oriented toward serving others, we won’t fight.  Instead, we’ll find a way to apply love to serve them, and hopefully us as well.

While we may think we’re serving others by our political views, in reality we’re looking to serve ourselves and the tribal interests with which we identify.  Political parties are an extension of that identity. When advocating one side or another, we’re simply extending our identity to groups that make us feel loved and secure.  Lending them our support gives them love, and denies it to their opponents.

So those who understand the Law of One and the nature of our evolutionary journeys home, political conflict becomes an act of love of self, manifesting a willingness to engage in manipulation and control to bend others to our will.

Certainly this is okay for those who choose the path of service to self as their way to evolve.  But that is a difficult path fraught with darkness not chosen by many of us.

Those who gravitate toward the light and whose consciousness draws them there through service to others should know that such conflict simply presents another obstacle to overcome, another test of how to love and be loved that benefits all.

And from that perspective, the path of upliftment challenges us to loosen the hold of the beliefs and practices that keep us in conflict.  In short, awareness of the Law of One and efforts to apply it should probably lead us to rethink our political wars, and seek other ways of moving forward together than the imposition of our own desires upon all without consider others’ as well.

    Knowing Yourself

So where does that leave us, aware of our spiritual journey yet still stuck in this world having to deal with all the petty conflicts that arise while we’re here, much less the big ones that determine to course of our common future?

Somehow we’ve got to assess where we are and where we’re going.  And most importantly, how we’ll get there.

That leads us to my final point.  It is the primary tool of the awakening soul — knowing yourself.  For only in knowing yourself can you begin to understand the inner conditions that distort the light and reinforce your illusions of separation from the world around you.

Only then can you love and be loved without allowing your differences to get in the way.

This is not to suggest that such distortions are either good or bad.  They are simply expressions that allow us to create ourselves as we are — and empower us to address them to become what we want or need to be.

By knowing ourselves, we can begin to see the beliefs and perspectives upon which we’ve constructed our lives and the positions we take in the political wars.  We can also see how the affairs of that outer world tweak those beliefs, and set in motion responses to the words and actions of those that see things another way.

When we do, we can defuse the mental and emotional triggers, and maybe even release the desires upon which they’re built.

Ultimately however, we will be forced to look at our beliefs and desires and whether they are serving to take us where we’re really trying to go.  And to exercise our consciousness to choose how we’ll interact with this world in which we live.

This expanding consciousness offers a choice of where to turn our attention and the intentions we set along the way

If it is solely upon ourselves and our lives in this world, our choice is to love and serve ourselves.  Then we can easily justify fighting the good fight to advance our political causes.

If, however, our focus is upon the Oneness where we hope to go, perhaps exploring our own inner distortions will lead us to conclude that our true conflict is not with others, but within ourselves and how we see our place within this reality.

Knowing yourself will allow you to do this.  It will also give you a glimpse into others, and why they are the way they are.

You probably can’t do anything to change things.  But you will be able to chart a course that better serves you both, and most importantly, the Creator to which you return.

Most of all, knowing yourself will give you a choice, the chance to exercise your free will to set the intentions that guide your existence.

The choice may be to serve yourself.  It may be to serve others. Or it might even be a choice that serves you both.

No one can make it for you.

That choice is yours and yours alone.  But remember. Whatever you choose — to fight or not — the world you change will be your own.

    God bless you indeed.

  • Ep11 – Why You Struggle

In this episode of the Red Pill Chronicles, John talks about our struggles in life and what they have to do with our journey of upliftment and return to Oneness.

    Transcript:

    Why You Struggle

Greetings.  I am John, and I am a disciple of the Light.

Today I’d like to share with you some thoughts on your journey, especially those aspects of this life that aren’t working out the way you want.

You find yourself in situations that test your ability to function within the dramas of three-dimensional existence.  These struggles may be in all areas of your life, or in specific ones that impede your efforts to create the experiences you hope to get.

Their means of creation may be many.  Sometimes it’s by your own choice or deed. At others it is brought by circumstances foisted upon you by a common reality, built by a collective consciousness that often brings harsh and unpleasant results.

For many remain unaware of their own true nature and the purpose for which they came — to know themselves and explore their relationship to All That Is through their interaction with the others who inhabit this reality with them.

Instead, their focus is upon their lives in this world and the myriad ways those lives are so much less than they want them to be.

So they find themselves having to deal with unintended and unwanted situations that impair their happiness and make them suffer, and struggle to end it

Often in their determination to end their troubles or avoid their occurrence, they exercise their wills in ways that put them in conflict with their reality and the others whose lives they touch — sometimes even to the point of doing harm or preventing others from pursuing their own course.

Their discontent with the status quo is so great that they struggle to escape it, regardless of the harm done in the process.  It is this discontent, and the fears and desires that fuel it, that cause them to resist becoming complacent with their reality and motivate them to make it better.

Often, however, they can’t. Limitations of consciousness and circumstance of lack lock them into the present, where they kick and scream and push back against their lives and the people and things they think help make them that way.

You’re here today because you have been chosen to awaken to your journey of expansion back to your Creator.

Chosen by what or whom, you ask?

Why, by your soul, of course. Whether by prompting of your Higher Self, by reminder of your soul group, or terms of your soul contract, you have chosen to know and become more than you are.

You, and others like you, we’ll call the Chosen.  You are awakening souls trying to find your way home.

Just because you are chosen to awaken does not make you immune from the struggles of life, whether created by choice, imposition by the common reality, or the karmic echoes your past that bring back energies to experience once again, whether in the same old ways or by making another choice.

Much of New Age thought tends to place responsibility for them upon you. It can be a heavy burden, even for the most advanced among us, believing that you and you alone are at fault for your inability to create and live the life you want.

The approach is understandable, for to think otherwise invites victimhood, that you are powerless to impact your affairs and that such unpleasant circumstances are thrust upon you by others, or worse, the hand of God through fate.

Either approach makes your time here so much harder, as if you’re putting in time for the sins of your past, or being made a martyr by a vindictive god that wants nothing more than to torture you while you’re here.

It’s natural for the mind to wonder why, to find meaning for your suffering.  And suffering it can be to live a life that is not the one you want.

But though we turn our eyes toward the heavens and ask, “Why, oh Lord, do you make things so hard? Why me? Why this? Why now?” the answer rarely comes.

Rather, we’re left to deal with what is, to play the cards as they’re dealt and do our best to move on from there.

So denied the understanding that we think will somehow bring us peace, much less a path through it all, we struggle.  We suffer. We fight back against our reality and all we blame for its impact.

But that struggle triggers a response mechanism within us.  It unlocks thoughts that focus on our lack of what we want, or the resources we think will allow us to change it for the better.

And it unleashes emotions that can lead us into frustration, anger and worse, to strike out at others who cross our paths.

It is incumbent upon the awakening soul to find another way to deal with such difficulties if it is to find the value they offer.

For there is value in all experience.  That’s what we’re here for.

For life is all about the experience — the experience of knowing Self as we move through the space/time continuum of 3-D reality.

The difficulties with which we struggle allow us to see and know different aspects of ourselves as we learn to love and be loved.  And as we awaken to the possibility of more, to energetically spiral “upward” toward higher dimensions, which we experience as an inward journey into ourselves.

Light provides the means by which to undertake this process and clear the distortions that impair it.

The harshness of outer third-dimensional reality distracts us from these inner experiences, continually demanding our attention to deal with the life it serves up.

As we evolve through the integration of our positive and negative energies, our attention begins to turn inward toward the source of light that empowers it, and as we do, to become more than we are.  And to realize that it is so.

This self-realization builds upon itself.  It allows us to see that we are not static beings, but ever-changing so we can receive more and more of the light that calls us ever-upward.

This is the process of awakening.

Our progress is reflected by a combination of factors, including:

    * how well we know ourselves

    * the state of our inner filters

    * how we love and allow ourselves to be loved, as well as

    * our point of balance between self and others.

We must understand that the exercise of our will — whether to serve self or serve others — is a choice that can throw us out of balance, impairing our ability to let more light flow.

This is why the first step on the path for many is often the declaration, “Thy Will be done,”  which requires us to moderate the influence of fear and desire over our lives.

However, this surrender to the will of “God” is not an absolute relinquishment of the lower desires; rather, it starts a process of learning to balance them with the needs of your Higher Self.

When you do, the struggles of life become less about changing it, than about providing a catalyst to surrender to the higher will, and thus propel us toward whatever lies beyond what we know ourselves to be.

Like a slingshot is pulled back to build potential energy that can be unleashed to launch its stone, we can use our struggles to focus attention inward toward the light and the inner conditions that distort its flow.

As we do, we see more of the inner workings that led us to this moment, and the ripples they set off within us and in our reality.

And with that look, we can know ourselves in new ways, and become something more.

    *****

Again, life is all about the experience.  Knowing yourself allows you a choice over how you’ll get that experience and what you’ll do with it.

It is a journey we each make alone brought about by the experiences our lives bring.

But if it’s not working out so well — either in your outer affairs or you inner ones — don’t get down on yourself.  Be patient. For experience takes time, and for time you’ve got to wait.

Some impatient souls search for a key that will unlock the door to awakening, rather than realizing they already have the key, and it’s hidden inside waiting for them to find it.

To them I say, “Stop. Look at yourself. And listen to what you hear. It’s the only way to get where you want to go.”

But does this journey of awakening mean you have to immerse yourself in struggle and suffering all the days of your life?

No, but turning one eye inward can rob your outer efforts of the focus they need to be effective.  And even when you do make things work the way you want, don’t be surprised if your struggles don’t end. For life will bring more.

After all, it’s only through them do we grow, and as one situation passes, another arises to take its place. It’s what they each bring to our own self-realization that matters to the soul.

The ego caught in their midst on the other hand, doesn’t necessarily care.  It bears the brunt of life and feels its pain. And when it does, it can test even the most advanced disciple.

Sometimes it helps to remember: “This, too, shall pass.”  But that doesn’t mean we should assume the source of our suffering will pass on its own.  We have to do our part, unless our choice is not to.

What then, should an awakening soul do?  Should you stand by and let them drag you down? Is spiritual advancement really about grinning and bearing it?

Maybe. Maybe not. You’ll know for yourself when the time comes.  The voice inside will guide you.

Most of the time, though, we can’t just stand idly by as they upset the apple cart of our desires.  Reality hits home and the need to survive keeps us engaged.

So our struggles often become like quick sand.  We’re stuck in place, flailing around and only sinking deeper into the mire until we exhaust ourselves, immersed in failure, frustration and despair.

    Sound familiar?

It happens all too often to those who are awakening, especially when we have the expectation our expanding consciousness should empower us to fix it and create something better.

Isn’t that, after all, the purpose behind many teachings, especially those based on the law of attraction?  To empower us to change our reality by controlling our thoughts and emotions — in short, to create a miniature version of heaven on earth that will make all our dreams come true?

Indeed, in many ways we can, at least to the extent the collective consciousness does not create circumstances within our reality to block those dreams.

But is that really the purpose of awakening, to master our ability to manipulate this three-dimensional reality into something more to our liking?  Perhaps for some. Perhaps for a while.

Ultimately, though, our quest to awaken demands we use whatever it brings to turn us toward our Creator and the oneness at our core.

    ******

But life still screams for our attention.  Only there can we get the experiences we came for, or seize the opportunities they bring.

So it would certainly be nice to reduce some of the struggle and ease the pain. I mean, who couldn’t use better health, more harmonious relationships, or a little more money?

So I encourage you to look for ways to do something about whatever’s making your life less than you want it to be.  It’s your life. Find a way to make it work.

But while you do, take a peek at what’s causing the struggle and how you contribute to it.  Keep an eye out for what you might change to get where you’re going, or have a better time along the way. Then act on what you find.

Using the power of intention and practicing the law of attraction can help.  Simply believing in yourself, drawing on your inner strength and doing your best will do even more..

But if you truly intend to awaken, you have to want to. It can’t be a passing fancy, or a fad, or the latest dip into spiritual teachings.

No, it will be an irresistible urge to follow a path that only you can know.  And even then only as guided by your Inner Voice to whatever action or awareness it bids you to seek.

But don’t expect to one day be magically enlightened and know the secrets of the universe.  Awakening doesn’t come with answers, only more questions and experiences needed for your next step.

Some like to think of this process as working on themselves, as if something is wrong with them the way they are.

But there’s nothing wrong with you.  You are exactly how you need to be for where you are along your journey home.

Nevertheless, the struggles can be an exhausting, and your awakening a daunting task if you try to look too far ahead. For all that matters is now, in this moment, where life happens to you and for you.

I could tell you to relax into it and allow it to happen as it will. Or to never give up, and fight tooth and nail to get out of the box life has put you in.

But I know whatever I tell you would simply be a misguided suggestion based upon how I perceive your situation through my own filters and perspectives.

For I have no idea what you need or where you should go from here.  Only you do. Or should I say, only your Higher Self knows the way, revealing your path through the Inner Voice whispering in the silence.

For all I know, you may need to wallow around in the mud for a while longer, or take some turn that could make things even worse.

I do know, however, that if you are one who is awakening to the possibility of what they are and can be, some part of your focus will be upon returning to Source.

And that starts with knowing yourself and cleaning your filters so you get less distortion of the light as its shines from within.

The effort may be tiring. And you may pray for it to end, either in union with One, or the blissful ignorance of going back to sleep like everyone else.

But the seed has been planted.  No matter how hard you try, no matter how much you fight, you have been called to find your way home.  Nothing, and no one, can get in your way.

You may try to ignore it, or silence it through drugs, alcohol or other ways of acting out. You may find solace in things, relationships or money. You may even succeed in blocking it for a while.

But ultimately, it will happen. That choice has been made, and any resistance will eat away inside until you give in and do what your inner voice asks.

I’m sorry that you struggle, and that life is bringing you less than you want.  I’ve been there. And in some ways still am.

But I am happy — and grateful — for your choice to awaken and walk for a while upon the path with me.  I will do my best to light the way.

    I bid you Godspeed.

God bless you indeed.  Go with love.

  • Ep 10 – What’s Going On?

In this episode of the Red Pill Chronicles, John Dennison discusses the state of affairs in our world, and what they have to do with you, your life and your awakening.

    Transcript:

    What’s Going On?

Hello, my friend.  Thank you for joining me.  Today we’re going to talk about the state of affairs in our world, and what they have to do with us and the lives we’re living.

Unless you’ve been lost on a deserted island, you know our world is going through tremendous changes.

Upheaval might be a better word, though most of the upheaval has been more in the lives of the people than the governments and institutions that wield power over our common affairs — though that looks like it might be starting to change.

Everywhere we turn the status quo is under attack.  No one seems happy with the way things are, especially in the political and geopolitical affairs that fill our news.

This discontent has fueled widespread unrest on both ends of the political spectrum, often exacerbated by a corporate media that sells fear and loathing on a scale once unheard of.  Everything is blown up into a crisis of major proportions as they work overtime to push our buttons and work us into a frenzy.

But we make it easy for them.  Our tempers rise with our increased polarity as our emotions override our reason and push us closer and closer to the point of outright warfare with each other, our governments, and the systems our forefathers built to guide our relations and establish an atmosphere where men and women could live together in peace and prosperity.

Peace and prosperity, however, are the last thing on the agenda.  For our divisions are not just political, they are social and economic as well.  Rich get richer while the poor are left behind. And a once vibrant middle class is shrinking rapidly as technology phases out jobs and shifts benefits and power to those on either end of the economic spectrum.

Those in power, as well as those vying for it, are quick to point out those differences and use them as wedges to drive us further apart.  As a result, they magnify every little thing in order to manipulate and control us into taking sides in their wars.

No wonder we act like a bunch of Chicken Littles running around screaming, “The sky is falling. The sky is falling.”  Because to hear the powers that be and wanna be tell it, it is.

But is it really?  Are we really in a life or death fight for survival?  Do we really need to pick a side and battle it out until the bitter end?

Perhaps a little perspective is in order.

For tens of thousands of years mankind has lived on this planet, fighting with each other for the means to survive.  And for most of those years, some have risen to the top to enjoy the benefits of wealth, power or fame, lording it over the rest who for whatever reason didn’t, or couldn’t.

Empires were made.  Empires were lost. Over and over again their games went on.  Some won. Others lost. Always the people struggled to carve out lives that worked for them, and suffered when they failed.

It goes on to this very day.

A funny thing started to happen, however, along the way.  The people started to awaken to their games, and began to speak out.  “What about us?” they cried. No longer would they stand to be ruled by merciless despots who only sought to aggrandize their own wealth and power.

Watershed events facilitated this awakening, like the signing of the Magna Carta in 1215 — starting as a peace treaty between King John and a group of rebel barons, and later evolving into a limitation upon the power of the crown over the people  — and the Gutenberg press in 1439.

It accelerated 350 years later with the Declaration of Independence and subsequent formation of the United States of America through the colonies’ ratification of the Constitution and the adoption of its first 10 Amendments.  Rights of the individual — derived from GOD — became paramount over the powers of the state, and any who wanted to rule would be forced to submit to the sovereignty of the people. At least, so they thought.

For despots and dictators continued to arise and wreak their havoc on the world, not to mention well-meaning but misguided revolutions of the people that resulted in great death and destruction to all who opposed their rule.

From Napoleon to Hitler to Stalin to Mao, millions perished in the name of power and control, all to impose the wills of those who brought them to power over those who wanted to go another way.

Their hopes live on today, where the same energies can be found in China, Venezuela, and other nations that quash dissent with an iron fist — a tendency that even some in the West are displaying as they try to stifle public discourse and dissidents alike who oppose their quests for power.

Yet, the prospects for change has never been greater for the construction of a better world that can offer peace and prosperity for all, with people free to live the lives they want without interference or lack.

The advances of science, technology and medicine have freed humanity from focusing solely upon gathering the necessities of survival — while simultaneously threatening our future and the legacy we leave behind.

But between modern travel, telephones and the Internet, we have become connected in ways our ancestors never dreamed of.  Ideas spread like wildfire, as do clashes of cultures that are not yet prepared for such dramatic change.

So much of the bounty these advances have bestowed upon us we take for granted, not to mention lifespans that are nearly double what was expected a couple centuries ago.

And what lies ahead?  Space travel. Artificial intelligence.  And advances we now can only dream of.

Along with them, though, come environmental destruction, mass surveillance and possibly even irrelevance as AI takes jobs one performed by men and women of every social strata.  Worse, that technology threatens possible loss of our hard-won freedoms as the powers that be work to assert their control to get, keep and expand their power.

To boot, there’s fighting everywhere you turn, and it’s not just the people standing up against their governments.  Those who want power use our differences to pit us against each other. Ethnic. Racial. Religious. Gender. Sexual orientation. The list of wedges they constantly strike is long, and the toll it takes is high.

The people are weary.  They just want it to stop.  But they know that it won’t, and if they stand by and let those powers succeed the future will be bleak for generations to come.

So the battles escalate, nearing the point of no-return.

Klatuu in the remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still was told, “Only at the precipice, we change.”

Well, humanity is near that precipice.  Our advances can take us into a great new world, or they can send us back from whence we came.

This is the choice before us now. Will we awaken to the possibilities of more, and change ourselves in order to get there? Or will we continue on the same old way until all our hopes and dreams are destroyed?

We know, though, that no one wants to change.  Not really. It’s the other guy or gal that’s wrong.  They just need to see and do it our way and everything will work out fine.

    Yeah, right.

Like the cigarette commercial a while back, they’d rather fight than switch.  And so would we.

So that’s the way it is.  Why? What’s going on?

Let me shift away from the doom and gloom for a while and help you see things another way.

Many of you have heard of an “event” called the Ascension.  While it holds different meanings and appearances for different traditions, it is a spiritual concept portending the lifting up of individual souls to higher levels of being.

And with those changes, to engage in less of the destructive behavior that has marred the interaction of egos throughout our existence.

But look around.  Does it look like we’ve left our combative ways behind?  Or the harm that we do along the way?

Rather, it looks and feels as if we’re in a pressure cooker, and unless something is done to release the pressure, our world is going to blow its lid.

That’s where the Ascension comes in.  For to get there, we have to change. Human nature has to change, or more precisely, we have to evolve, to become more than we are.

Technology and modern science are only exacerbating the situation, enabling our worst attributes to be directed at strangers with whom we disagree over beliefs and perspectives into which we’re locked.

Responsibility and restraint in how we treat each other have fallen by the wayside.  Civility has gone with them.

Don’t look, but morality has, too, as well as our sense of shared values and vision for the future.  Religion has been pushed aside in the name of secularism. God seems to have lost all relevance in how things are, and has little influence on how they’ll be.

But I’m here today to tell you that appearances can be deceiving.

All is proceeding according to Plan.

From the point of Light within the Mind of GodLet light stream forth into the minds of men.Let Light descend on Earth. From the point of Love within the Heart of GodLet love stream forth into the hearts of men.May Christ return to Earth. From the centre where the Will of God is knownLet purpose guide the little wills of men –The purpose which the Masters know and serve. From the centre which we call the race of menLet the Plan of Love and Light work outAnd may it seal the door where evil dwells.Let Light and Love and Powerrestore the Plan on Earth.

This is known as The Great Invocation.  It was channeled from Djwhal Khul, also called The Tibetan, through Alice Bailey back in April, 1945.  For history buffs, that was approximately ten months after D-day, which marked the Allied push to take back Europe.

Our world was embroiled in a great war between light and darkness to impose the rule of a powerful few over mankind, controlled through a despot they brought to power.

The form of government it adopted — fascism, being state-controlled capitalism by an all-powerful state — is less important than the intention — to force the submission of the individual will to the power of the state.  Its premise was that the collective good was superior to that of the individual, and all decisions had to be made by a central authority that “knew best” for all.

And of course, when conflicts arose between individual rights, or freedom, and the interests of the state, they would always be ruled in favor of those with power.

Fascism, though, was not the only means of governance that espoused such views. Communism, socialism and even dictatorships, had the same approach — the collective, or those who claimed to represent it — knew best, and had the right and power to ram it down the throats of all who disagreed.

Today, these same forces are in conflict in our world, and continue to fuel the conflicts in our political and geopolitical affairs.  After all, to the victor go the spoils, and a lot of money and power is at stake for those who ultimately succeed in holding the reigns of power.

Going back to the Invocation, when I first heard it it was a like a bell going off inside me.  I’d already had an epiphany suggesting a past life, but the Great Invocation was the icing on the cake.  It opened a door to my soul’s recollection of experiences, and a purpose for being in this world that pervaded many of my lifetimes.  As it does to this day.

By way of reference, somehow I knew this Djwhal Khul, and the Invocation opened the door to my remembering of our master, Kuthumi — who incidentally was involved in my first experience hearing the direct channel of a master in this life.  It was Kuthumi that told me to write a book.  Though I had no idea what at the time, Whispers in the Silence turned out to be the result.

Anyway, the Invocation was a point of focus for awakening souls to draw light into this reality and direct it to fight the forces of darkness.  And though I was not among them at the time, I give thanks for all who did, for as you could see, shortly after its transmission the tide began to turn.

Hitler eventually lost, but the battle between light and dark raged on, as it does to this day.  A shadow is again spreading across the land and touching the hearts of every one of us.

But this shadow is not just between those who are good and those who are evil. This shadow comes from the darkness of our human natures, and the egoic distortions it brings that block out the light that flows into us from our Divine source.

If we are to win this war, it first must be fought within us.  We must connect to the light and use it to transform those aspects of ourselves that keep these battles alive.  We must recognize that WE ARE THE PROBLEM — not to be solved by someone else, but by us voluntarily, one heart and mind at a time.

If we truly want peace in our time, we must first address the conditions within us that allow us to be manipulated and recruited into their games of power and greed.  For it is only with our participation and consent that the darkness can work upon us, and empower others to control our destinies.

So let’s look at the Invocation again.

From the point of Light within the Mind of GodLet light stream forth into the minds of men.Let Light descend on Earth.

This, my friend, is the process of Awakening.  It is the reason you’re listening today. For something within you is calling you to awaken, and has led you to hear these words to help you on that journey.

It is the gathering of light, and the clearing of the filters that block it within us, that will allow that light to flow through us to the reality in which we live.  This is the only way that light can work in our world — through us, and how we see and conduct our affairs.

I’ve said many times I am a disciple of the Light. It is this light — not my light, but God’s light — that your soul is calling you to seek.  The Inner Voice is the way to find and apply it.

    So let’s continue.

From the point of Love within the Heart of GodLet love stream forth into the hearts of men.May Christ return to Earth.

Light alone cannot transform our lives or world.  But light opens a door into our hearts, where love dwells.  As we awaken and the light flows ever-stronger within us, the barriers around our hearts begin to dissolve.  The pain of our past experiences lessen, and love begins to flow more freely.

The Dalai Lama speaks often of living with compassion for others. This is one manifestation of that love.

Only you can feel the love in your heart. Only you can let it flow outward to others, and in so doing, reshape their lives, as well as yours.

And only you can dissolve the barriers you’ve constructed that others play upon to keep you from allowing it to happen.

You must find the Christ within you, for only then will you be able to complete your awakening to the light.

    Continuing with the Invocation:

From the centre where the Will of God is knownLet purpose guide the little wills of men –The purpose which the Masters know and serve.

Here Djwhal Khul introduces two concepts — a Divine Will of God, as well as the little wills of men.

These little wills are those of individual egos, each seeking to follow its desires and avoid its fears as it finds its way through life.

For so much of our time on earth, mankind has focused those little wills on gathering the means of survival, and those wills were valuable tools in that process.

And while we still have to survive and hopefully even thrive, our individual wills often clash with those of others.  They are the swords of egos that want their way and aren’t afraid to fight to get it.

Just think of your own life and the countless clashes you’ve had with others over your differences in what you want, or how you see things.  Then look at your relationship to the outer world of our social and political affairs, and how your desires fuel the assertion of your will on behalf of one cause or another.

Without your participation, and that of everyone else, there would be no one to play their games.  This is the end game we ultimately aspire to — where peace and prosperity can reign and we are free to pursue lives that serve us without doing harm to others or us.

But the Invocation goes on to suggest setting aside the individual wills and following the will of God — assuming we can know it without the distortion of our egoic filters.

Awakening allows you to see where your will fits into this picture, and voluntarily surrender it to the greater will of God that flows into you with the Light.

For me, the first step in my journey began with one simple choice: “Thy Will be done.”

It is an essential step all must take on their return to source.

But knowing that will is hard while our egos get in the way.  And we all know the harm that can be done in the name of God when those distortions block the love and light.  Witness the Crusades and Spanish Inquisition of the Christian past, or the jihad of Islamic extremists today.

The teachings we’ve been given to find our way home are too often distorted and misapplied by those who would use them for their own purposes.  So the awakening soul must be cognizant of where their own indoctrinations into those teachings distort the inner flow and lead them into actions that separate them from their innermost aspects, not to mention each other.

Of course, the masters are said to know and serve the Divine Purpose.  But what are these masters other than beings who have cleared their filters and act — usually from non-physical realities — without the distortions of egos or the assertion of their own wills over that of God’s?

    Continuing:

From the centre which we call the race of menLet the Plan of Love and Light work outAnd may it seal the door where evil dwells.

This center is the ego of which I spoke, and the central connection that ties us all together.

But for love and light to work, we must allow them to. We must open ourselves to them, and find ways to bring them into our daily affairs.  Not picking and choosing our spots, but in ALL our affairs. Even political ones to shape the future course of history.

Jeshua tried to show us how, through loving each other as we love ourselves.  It is the only way to insure that the excesses of ego do not block the light and allow evil to creep into our world.

Evil exists. It is real. And there are many who bow down to its presence, and draw upon it to get their way.

Those who turn toward the light must first seal the door within them so it cannot infect their affairs.  And this is the failure of most of us today in our political views — too often do we allow our own fears and desires allow us to be manipulated into empowering those who would abuse their authority to do bad things and treat others in ways that we wouldn’t want to be treated.

And when enough of us do, the power that we give them corrupts them and allows evil to rear its ugly head and act in our names.

This is not to suggest any one person or political view is good while another is evil. There is good and evil in all of us — and those who seek to rule us — and we must be ever-vigilant to suppress our own tendencies to perpetuate it.

    Finally:

Let Light and Love and Powerrestore the Plan on Earth.

There are two points here I want you to take with you today.  The first is the Plan.

The Plan on earth is not one of Light achieving victory over the Dark.  Nor of Dark prevailing over Light.

The Plan as glimpsed by me is one of duality, of finding a balance between good and evil by the conscious choice of egos to find their own balance between their outer world and their inner one.

For we are whole, spirits existing in a non-physical reality but acting within this linear, physical one through body and mind.  It is the integration of all these aspects that must occur for us to become whole and to know ourselves as One with All That Is.

It is the CHOICE of love and light that will allow this to happen, and set the stage for our awakening to all that we are and can be.

William Ernest Henley wrote in his poem, Invictus, “I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul.”

Well, you are the master of your fate.  Will you steer your soul toward awakening and fulfillment of the plan of Love and Light?  Or will you succumb to the darkness of an ego caught solely in its own affairs to the expense of all others?

The choice is yours. But even when you make it, you will need one more thing to make it happen.  And that is Power.

The power of intention. The power of determination. The power of perseverance.

As St. Germaine once told me, there is but One Power, One Presence.

If you are truly intent on awakening, perhaps you will begin to recognize this power and presence acting within you, and indeed within all.  Too often it is distorted by our egoic filters.

Nevertheless, there is but one Power, and One Presence, in all of reality.

Find it. Invite it into your life. Make it part of all you are and do.

The world you change will be your own.

God bless you indeed.  Go with love. I am john.

  • Ep 9 – Unleashing Your Inner Mastery

In this episode of Red Pill Chronicles, John Dennison speaks on the relationship of your inner and outer worlds, and how to work with and within the energies that flow through you to shape your life and world.

    Transcript

    Greetings.  I am John.

Today’s topic is Unleashing Your Inner Mastery.  But before I begin, just a quick reminder that if you need help dealing with your awakening or adding your contribution, I offer consultations to bring perspective to your journey and help you get clear on your next step.

Whether that involves learning to work with your inner world, or addressing the things that impact your outer one, I’ll try to help you see the issues and obstacles more clearly, and how you might move through them in better ways to get where you’re trying to go.

Consultations can be scheduled through any of our websites, including WhisperZone.org, which is the flagship of my inner teachings. By way of background, WhisperZone is where I started sharing the message of awakening to our journey along the spiritual path after I wrote Whispers in the Silence.

Like me, it crashed when I went into the hospital and I thought it would be allowed to die a silent death like the one that almost overtook me.  It stayed like that for a long time while my focus was directed to ramping up MissionLaunch and starting these Red Pill Chronicles.

Alas, though, God wouldn’t let me let it go.  Instead, I was guided to gather together my teachings on awakening and knowing yourself, so other awakening souls would have a place of refuge and renewal as they dealt with a harsh and unforgiving world.

So I recently rebuilt it, and am now in the process now of loading it up with content to help you on your journey.  Just think of it as a place where I lay breadcrumbs you might follow should you need help along the way.

Anyway, if you need more of a hands-on approach, you’ll find a “Schedule Consultation” link there you can use to book a session on a day and time that works for you.

So, with that out of the way, on with the show.

Inner Mastery.  It’s a simple way to refer to the possibility that there is something more to you than you know, that has the power to affect how you create and live your life.

We could just as easily call it God.  Or the Tao. Or your soul or higher self.

What I’m referring to is the source of your existence, not only in this 3-dimensional linear reality, but also your eternal life in what you might think of as spiritual dimensions, or non-linear reality.

Spiritual teachings throughout the ages have each described this non-linear reality differently.  Heaven is as good a term as any for this afterlife, though it comes with certain prescribed notions of what it is and how we get there that may or may not necessarily be so.

Whatever it is, however it works, wherever the source of your being dwells, is less a concern to us in linear reality than simply the concept itself.  Or more precisely, the POSSIBILITY of a life in a non-physical world that knows no death, no separation, and no lack. All is one, and one is all, even while retaining the individual identities we know ourselves as here.

Some people consider this non-linear, non-physical reality the place where the soul “goes” after death of our bodies, though in the way I perceive it, we already exist there concurrently with our physical reality in this world.

So for purposes of our discussions, assume we exist in both worlds — a non-physical reality we’ll call a spiritual dimension, as well as the linear three-dimensional reality of our physical world.

This physical reality is one of separation, not wholeness.  Separate from our inner selves. Separate from our source. And separate from each other.

I call it linear because unfolds one moment after another in linear fashion through the experience of time, an unbroken string of moments tied together to give the sense of change, of evolving from when it starts at birth until it ends upon our deaths.

Our existence doesn’t end, however.  Whatever we are in our non-physical reality continues on after the death of our bodies, including awareness of the personalities and lives we’ve lived here in the physical.

Still, even being told that or glimpsing it through meditation, lucid dreams or near-death experiences, we’re left to wonder — and fear — whether the end of our bodies means the end of us as well.

It is this uncertainty that causes us to squeeze every drop of living out of our lives, and the will to extend them as long as we can.

So recognize that will to live in you.  Honor it, for it provides the color and context for the experiences your life brings.

We will refer to these intangible aspects of as your Inner Self, that portion of your being that exists in non-physical reality, and your Outer Self, being the Ego, personality and identity you commonly know yourself as.

Yet this Outer Self is not technically part of the outer, physical world.  You can’t feel it. You can’t see it. You can’t touch it. But you know you exist here.

As Rene Descarte said, “Cogito, ergo sum.”  I think.  Therefore I am.

Your mind and identity are caught in between worlds, turned outward toward the physical reality, yet most of the time exist blissfully unaware of the inner self behind it all.

You can think of this inner world as one of pure energy — an energy inherently vested with intelligence — that flows through you into your linear reality to create and influence the experiences your life brings.

Most of the time this energy works in the background, well beyond the perception of your senses or the awareness of the mind through which your Outer Self operates.

It creates, as some might say, fate — the sense that your life is guided by some invisible hand, playing out according to some pre-ordained plan, in a process also known as pre-destination or kismet.

As you begin to work with your inner world, however, you’ll soon discover that fate is not set in stone.  Rather, it’s more a set of possibilities among which you choose, each in turn leading your life in a different direction to a different set of experiences.  Or not.

So your future is malleable. Fate simply sets in motion the possibilities.

You made the choices — whether consciously or unconsciously — that brought you the life you’re now living.  And you will make the choices that will set in motion the life you want to create for yourself or others.

Your choices, as well as the inner conditions within your Outer Self, such as your thoughts, fears and desires, are the means by which you direct the creative energies flowing from your Inner Self.  In a very real sense, they filter the light that flows into and through you, so that all you see and encounter is shaped by how you see things and the distortions imposed by your ego upon that flow.

It is through them that you exercise your responsibility as a sentient being to get the experiences you came for, and interact with others as they create and experience their own — experiences that are necessarily distorted by your own egoic filter so that you will create and get the experiences you came for.

Awakening expands your awareness so you can uncover these filters for yourself and address the inner conditions that keep bringing you more of the same experiences.  But as consciousness expands, it empowers you with greater choice over whether to allow them to continue to work, or to change them, and by so doing change the nature of the reality in which you live, and how you relate to it.

At some point, consciousness expands to a level where we can understand how these filters shape our lives, setting in motion new possibilities for how we will conduct ourselves within our reality.  Rather than being simply reactive to whatever reality serves up, we discover that as we act upon these filters, we have greater choice over what plays out, and how.

Choice, then, allows sentient beings to access the power of possibility to set these energies to work, and allows the situations to unfold that bring those experiences.

This choice is truly an innate gift from our Creator to become active participants in our reality, than simply exist as leaves blowing in the winds of fate.  It is endowed upon all souls incarnate, regardless if they know how or why to exercise it.

This power of choice we know as FREEDOM — the freedom to choose how we will engage our inner world, as well as how it interacts with our outer one.  It is the fundamental principle upon which our universe exists, notwithstanding outer circumstances that create the ILLUSION that there’s nothing we can do to change things more to our liking.

But you can only choose that which you can see or envision, and believe.  To have choice, you have to have consciousness — the awareness and presence of mind to select among the possibilities presented.

It is the expansion of consciousness that allows you to see more possibilities from which to choose, the perspectives from which you see them, and the perception of what they are and mean to you.

It is consciousness through which you set your direction, at least to the extent you are able within your life plan.

It is consciousness that allows you the choice of where to turn your attention — outward to the linear, physical reality, or inward toward the non-physical spiritual reality.

It is this bifurcation of attention — turned both outward and inward — that marks the process of spiritual awakening.

Some turn completely away from the physical, like the ascetics, monks and mystics who renounce the fruits of the flesh and focus only upon the god-self within.

Others are totally oblivious to their inner world, and get so caught up in their outer one that they have no time, interest or ability to even consider there is more to life than the physical reality in which they find themselves.

I don’t want you to pursue either extreme. Rather, we’re focused here on the interaction of your inner and outer worlds, how to draw upon the inner energies to shape the life you’re living, and how you experience and process it.

Now, we can have a clear intent to become or do something in particular, or to experience a particular benefit or result of our efforts.  And sometimes that’s exactly what we should be doing, working with intention to direct the energies and the process of creation.

That, however, means the outer self of the ego takes priority in the determination of our life path.  But we all know that darkness and evil exist in our world, conditions that exist where our egoic filters don’t allow the inner light to shine, or distort our perception into something totally unrecognizable to the Inner Self that set it in motion.

And when it doesn’t, hidden conditions within the outer self can filter and distort not only how we perceive our outer world, but also cause us to focus so intently upon us and what we want for ourselves that excess selfishness and harm can result.

Rather than get so caught up in the affairs of the ego that the light cannot work as intended, I encourage you to consider is that there is a plan in place playing out to guide your life, and that your job is to learn to work with and within that plan, growing ever closer to your source and the place where you can more effectively remove your filters so you can better direct those energies and have more choice over your affairs.

This is the process of knowing yourself and what you and your life are all about.  It is the path of awakening.

Understand, though, that you don’t have to make these choices in the dark.  Your inner self is in constant communication with your outer self, whispering in your ear so to speak, to guide you through the process.

This communication is through your inner voice, and the thoughts, feelings and situations it brings.

Unfortunately, most of the time we have no idea it’s even happening.  Talk about oblivious!

We stumble around in the dark, bumping up against every obstacle in our path, our egos blinded to the light, making choices with little idea why they’re created or what they might bring.

So I encourage you to get to know your inner voice and how to work with it.  Your inner self is waiting to guide you through the process. It wants you to awaken to all that you are and show you how to become whole.  That’s why I wrote Whispers in the Silence, which you can find at PeaceOptions.

But we’re interested in far more here than just our own spiritual awakening.

If you’re like most people, what you want to know what every ego does — what’s in it for you in this life, and how do you get it for yourself?

Even then, however, I hope your motivation is to find the wholeness that comes with balancing your inner and outer worlds, rather than simply get caught up in the pursuit of your own desires or avoidance of your fears.  Otherwise, your filters will remain intact, and with them comes the risk of sliding deeper into the darkness and wasting the opportunity for advancement offered by this life.

Of course, that is the life path created for some to follow, to experience the shadows and life without the light.  But we’ll assume that’s not you, at least not now in this moment.

Instead, the intention I hope you’ll adopt is to work as partners with God so that you can allow the inner energies to flow as your soul intended, while expanding the consciousness with which you set your intentions and put them to work.

There are many teachings to guide you through this process.  That’s the purpose of religion and spirituality, to bring you closer to God by taming the ego and balancing its focus to serve both it as well as the source from which you came.

At least, that’s ostensibly the spiritual purpose behind it, before being distorted by those who would use those teachings to control the masses or advance their own interests and agendas.

It is up to you as an awakening soul to discriminate among those teachings and adopt those which expand and empower you toward your wholeness, and avoid those that would bring you greater separation or cause you to do harm in their name.

Your ability to do so is a reflection of where you are on the path of awakening and the life plan of your inner self.

As we move forward together in future episodes, we’ll go into this process in more detail to help you develop your vision and the skills with which you apply it.

For now, I just want you to realize you are so much more than you know yourself to be, and the possibilities it offers to create and experience your life in new and better ways.

For when it comes down to it, life is all about the experience.  So live yours well.

    Just remember.

You have a choice how you will create and gather those experiences, and what you’ll do with them in the days ahead.

Choose wisely.  The world you change will be your own.

God bless you indeed. Go with love.  I am John.

  • Ep. 8 – On God, Religion and Radical Spirituality

In this episode of the Red Pill Chronicles, John Dennison talks about God, religion and an approach to life and changing your world he calls radical spirituality. Give it a listen.

Give it a listen.  For those who want to read along, you’ll also find the transcript below.

On God, Religion and Radical Spirituality

Hi, I’m John Dennison, a disciple on the path of light. Most know me as a lawyer, peacemaker or spiritual teacher, but this is how I know myself.

You can read more about me and my work at PeaceOptions.com.

    *****

Before we start, I want to thank you for listening. It’s truly an honor to share this perspective on life in this reality. I have been sharing this message for the last 15 years or so — with little feedback or awareness of who receives it or how it impacts them.

And assuming, rightly or wrongly, that I had failed. It is your energy that nourishes me. It sustains me. It keeps me alive. But as you may know, for a long time I was denied that gift. And it nearly killed me.

But God kept me here, and sent Archangel Michael to keep me alive through a very difficult time. He picked me up from my death bed, gave me a strength and determination to recover I never knew I had, and eventually asked me to carry on with his work.

For so long it felt like I was talking to the wall. Even preaching to the choir didn’t help. For even they weren’t ready for the ideas I shared.

But now, just knowing some are listening, and sometimes sharing feedback, gives me heart to continue for as long as God allows me, despite all the obstacles erected to stop me.

In fact, this week I received a kind note from a listener in Poland who has been translating and sharing these messages there. I was overwhelmed, and if you’re listening now, I want to say, “Thank you.”

Just know that I am both grateful and humbled that you — all of you — would devote your precious time and attention to consider my words, for whatever they’re worth to you.

You are the reason I do this, so you can add your contribution to a better tomorrow. So thanks for being here, and for joining me on this journey of transformation.

    ****

Today I want to talk about God, religion and what I call radical spirituality.

Religion. It’s the source of some of our greatest joys. As well as some of the most egregious horrors we commit against each other.

It teaches us many things. Not just about God, but how to be better versions of ourselves. But it often also seeds us with ideas to justify doing harm.

Moreover, given the propensity of humans to fight to prove the primacy of their beliefs and impose them on others, religion is often used as justification for conflict and violence and the commission of acts that do harm to others and their right to go their own way through life.

This is why John Lennon sang, “Imagine no religion.” It’s also the reason so many who lack awareness of their connection to God turn to secular approaches, for they see religion only as a vehicle to foment discord and destruction.

The problem with religion is it’s passed down and interpreted by men, distorted by egos that see it through the filters of their own biases and beliefs.

Removing these filters is what we’ll start to do today.

We humans have a propensity to lock in to our own way of seeing things. And when we adopt an idea as our own belief, it becomes part of our being, so much so that we’re willing to fight to defend it. And sometimes, even to force it upon others.

Religion spreads an idea that there is more to life than we know, and that life does not end with the death of our bodies.

These ideas often come with suggestions or rules on how to insure we have the chance to experience life beyond death. These become the dogma of religious traditions, passed on from generation to generation.

Yet these teachings are not absolute, and are in fact seeded with elements that can take us farther from our destination, rather than toward it.

For religion is not all that it seems. That’s because it inherently creates conflicts within it, and within us, that we must discern as we progress toward our God, requiring us to make choices of how we will get where we want to go.

The ability to turn toward those that take us there, and away from those that don’t, is a trademark of the spiritual adept, reflecting advancement on the path of our own spiritual journeys.

It develops naturally as our experiences lead us to question our reality and the rules religion would have us live by.

Yet the answer is not to evolve beyond religion, but rather to see religion in its rightful place, as a means to take us to the common end that we all seek — life after death.

That means seeing religion as it truly is, taking off the restrictive blinders our egos impose upon it.

For religion is based on half-truths. On the one hand it gives us teachings designed to take us closer to God – our Source. And on the other, it’s seeded with commands that pit us against each other, or try to control us through fear, at the same time erecting barriers to our wholeness.

Perhaps that was considered necessary in an earlier time, but now we can make another choice, and see our lives and time here on Earth a different way.

If enough of us do, not only can we change our lives and how we relate to others, we can maybe even take our world in a different direction as well.

And in doing so, begin to move beyond the conflicts that have plagued our world since the beginning of civilization.

So choose what direction you’re going to go.

Will you move closer to God, and to your fellow man at the same time? Or will you follow those teachings that block the way and drive us apart?

    This is where we start.

It is the place most religions ostensibly want to take us – to the cultivation of the ego.

    Building character.

    Doing good.

    Caring for others.

    Being kind and loving.

    Being responsible, forthright and trustworthy.

These are desirable traits for a civilization so people can live together.

But they also prepare us on an energetic level, aligning our energies and while diminishing discordant ones.

All of this brings us closer to our souls, where we know ourselves as one with all that is.

It is through the inner voice that this connection is made.

To put it in electrical terms, we’re completing a circuit so the energy of Source can flow directly through to the ground of our reality.

To put it in spiritual terms, the ego steps aside so the soul can speak. And eventually, so the soul can act directly.

    *****

But seeded into our religions are beliefs that play upon our fears and desires. These beliefs are too often used to justify doing bad things that, often in the name of our God, take us farther away.

You see, we live in a polarized universe. Duality is one of the immutable laws of this system of reality. None of us can escape it.

We all have a point of balance within our being between good and bad, light and dark, soul and ego.

We’ll call this our Personality Quotient.

It is the point of balance of our Personality that defines the quality of our character that we show to the world and use as we conduct our affairs.

This point of balance in some tends toward the darkness. Those that go too far in that direction we know as evil.

Those who tend toward light we call good.

Few are all of one extreme or the other. Those who are are truly beautiful – or frightening – to behold.

Yet there are variations within us as well. For in one part of our lives we might be seen as good, while in another part quite bad. And even those may vary from time-to-time.

It is the sum total of all our attributes that go into our establishing our point of balance.

It is this point of balance that determines the perspectives and perceptions of our lives, which in turn determine how we’ll make the choices before us, and gather the experiences they bring.

In short, there’s good and bad in each of us.

Regardless of where we are, we have the ability to raise our level to some degree. Doing good deeds can help, and create positive karma for future lives.

Likewise, doing bad deeds can lower it, and set up energetic echoes that haunt our future selves.

The wonderful thing about life is that it doesn’t force us to go either way. It allows us a choice how to deal with our inherent duality, so we can set course to where we want to go.

Somewhere along the line I heard it described this way. There are two wolves that live within us. One is good. The other is bad. Each is vying to take control of our lives. Which one will win?

    The one that we feed.

The choices of our lives are the food we give them. Our intention is the direction that guides those choices. Consciousness is the means we shape our intention. Together they allow us to consciously evolve, to change our point of balance from wherever it is to wherever we want to go.

So, where do you want to go? Toward self-interest and serving the darker aspects of your personality? Or toward the light and your connection with God?

Yet, regardless of our point of balance, we all can connect with God through our inner voice. That’s how we’re made. But drawing upon the energy of Source without first cultivating the ego results in egoic distortions that can turn good intentions into horrific results.

Therefore we must be ever-cognizant of our point of balance, and upon which side of the scale our lives are lived on.

This is why I encourage all of your to undertake the energetic cultivation of your own egos as you begin to listen to your inner voices. Cultivation allows that point of balance to shift toward the positive, and quiets the inner chatter that interferes with our ability to hear it.

More importantly, cultivation is what empowers us to make those choices, rather than living in knee-jerk response to the inner impulses that well up from the depths of our egos.

In a sense, cultivation soothes the savage beast, the Leviathan we keep locked deep in the recesses of our darkness.

If you ever saw the old ‘50’s movie, Forbidden Planet, the Leviathan is like a monster from the Id that we unleash upon an unsuspecting world when things get out of control.

It is this Leviathan that lives within each of us. Only cultivation can tame it. And only cultivation can make it want to be tamed.

I wrote about cultivating the ego to hear your inner voice in Whispers in the Silence. I think it’s only available right now on PeaceOptions until I figure out how to restock Amazon; since my distributor went out of business. If any of you know, please drop me a line.

    ****

Religion is a form of cultivation. It brings us closer to the place where we can hear the whispers of our inner voice. It starts the preparation and weeds out the parts of us that interfere.

Tolerance, and living in peace with, other religions is essential to that process. For to do otherwise risks denying us access to our inner connection to God.

This is the purpose of spirituality — to bring a perspective less tied to the individual religious paths and one more open to the overall process and objective — connecting with God.

Yet, spirituality is a path too often traveled alone, denying believers the application of those beliefs through community and connection in the course of their lives and the conduct of their common affairs.

The inner voice changes all that. It’s why I call it radical spirituality.

Because you quit living life the way you want, and you begin living it the way you’re guided within. It’s a totally unstructured way to live, at least to the extent you’re not tied to a time clock or need to conform to the demands of your particular career or lifestyle.

It’s sort of a scary way to live, at least until you embrace the freedom it gives you. For you realize you’re not in control of anything, so you give yourself up to God to lead you to whatever is next while you do what you do now.

Living this way in essence puts us in partnership with God, making us instruments of His will. Thy will be done.

But our part is not simply as a machine to do his bidding. It’s more like a dance, where we are willing participants following his lead, reveling in the music and movement while adding our own energy and creativity.

It is this very process that is behind the Sufi’s in their dance, a form of active meditation so intense that many have referred to them as “whirling dervishes.”

Have you ever heard the term, “As the spirit moves me?” Well, that’s what you’re trying to put to work all the time.

When you start hearing your inner voice, it may set you to work. It may even give you some mission to perform, turning you from sleepwalking traveler into an awakening server.

If this is happening to you, you might want to stop by and visit me at MissionLaunch.com. That’s because we’ve got a world to change, and your role is an important one to make that happen.

At first the inner voice comes as just a nudge or idea. But after a time, as it’s unleashed it can be more like a river rushing toward some unseen destination, and you’re in a canoe holding on for dear life. Paddling upstream is not an option.

Yet, being within its flow brings pure joy. Ask any athlete, musician or writer how it feels when they’re in the flow. It is this feeling the inner voice can bring to our whole lives when we immerse ourselves within its call.

It is the inner voice through which the soul seeks expression as it paints upon the canvas of our lives.

Living in the flow of its light is the objective. But to do that means getting the ego out of the way.

Not because of rules and dogma. Not because of suppression of our baser instincts or bending or darkest aspects to our will. But because the ego voluntarily steps aside to become one with the soul, and connecting through it to God.

This is where our world can go. And so can you if you try.

You first have to want it and seek it for yourself.

But you can’t fake it until you make it.

No, you have to feel the urge well up deep within you. Those who follow the path hear of many stories of disciples who were not called to awaken, and instead sought enlightenment by their own force of will, only to fall back, brought down by the seeds of their own fears and desires that still took root within them.

But when you do hear the inner whispers, you must follow. It will not be easy at first. There will be many choices along the way.

For following your inner voice is not always conducive to living the life you think you want for yourself. It depends far more on the experiences it needs from your life, and the role it calls you to play in the world.

Yet, your own individual desires are seeds planted to lead you toward those experiences, just as your fears are the sticks used to drive you there. At least, so long as you don’t allow them to pull you toward the dark side.

Use them. But don’t be controlled by them. They are simply guideposts. As always, you must choose which way you will go.

Accept yourself as you are. For that is how you have created yourself to be. But never stop working to become what you want to be – a willing, active servant of the whole of what you are.

This is the world that is promised to you. This is the Golden Age I speak of, where peace and prosperity will ultimately reign.

But to find it, you must choose.

    Will you be radical?

God bless you indeed. I am John.

  • Ep. 7 – The Great Awakening

In this episode of RED PILL CHRONICLES, John discusses The Great Awakening, a worldwide socio-political movement to challenge a status quo that isn’t taking us where we want to go.

    *****

    Transcript: The Great Awakening

Hi, John here. Thanks for joining me today.

Before we start, please like, share, and tweet this program so others can hear it, too.

You can catch past podcasts on iTunes or at DennisonRocks.com, and can read more about my work at PeaceOptions.com.

As you may recall, our last episode was on the Awakening Servers — those individuals awakening to the call of their inner voice to add some contribution to a new world. If you didn’t catch it, I would suggest you try to do so later.

It’s all based on a non-physical source of life that whispers guidance to us in this linear, 3-dimensional reality — a source that is leading not only our own awakening, but the awakening of humanity as a whole.

These awakening servers are its vanguard sent to pave the way for the rest to follow.

Today, we’re going to go a step farther and talk about a closely-related event that’s now underway that we’ll call The Great Awakening.

The Great Awakening is the socio-political manifestation of millions of people around the world responding to a growing dissatisfaction with the status quo.

This doesn’t mean they are all servers, or even that they are awakening to this inner source.

Rather, they are acting out their discontent with the way things are, causing many to participate in a multitude of movements that challenge the status quo and demand more from government around the globe.

These movements take many forms and are hardly homogenous.

Recall the Arab Spring a few years back.

People were rebelling against tyrannical governments that denied their freedom, prosperity, and in many cases, human dignity. The spontaneous uprisings it triggered set the whole world on its head.

Behind it was a simple desire to be included in a world that is increasingly advanced, yet more hostile and distant.

    “What about us?”

It’s also behind the desire for change that we see so often in our political affairs. Remember Obama’s “A change you can believe in?” and Trump’s “Make America great again” slogans?

Unfortunately, as we’ve seen, politicians often play on our hunger for change to garner support so they can keep getting our votes without ever delivering on their promises.

In most cases, it’s just a political ploy by which they manipulate us into giving them power, while giving us little more than lip service in return.

And the real change that is needed goes unfulfilled, leaving us even more angry and frustrated with the status quo.

Unfortunately, this growing unrest is used by the powers that be and their media shills to channel our rage into causes that pit us against each other and cement their hold on power.

As but one example, witness the recent gun control efforts after the Parkland school shootings.

CNN and other media sources quickly pounced on the survivors to give voice to students that spoke out for stricter gun laws, while disregarding the FBI and Sheriff’s incompetence that allowed it to happen.

Worse, they ignored and even suppressed students who had other views more favorable to the 2nd Amendment.

Why? Because it fit the narratives they and their benefactors have been pushing to disarm the populace while silencing dissenting voices — all to gain more control over the people.

Yet nowhere have they even mentioned problems contributing to the degeneration of our society, like the erosion of values and standards, much less our growing anger, frustration and propensity for violence.

All without once talking about individual responsibility for the roles each of us play in its breakdown, and what we can do to make the world a safer place.

    —

I don’t know what your politics are, and frankly I don’t care. Because what I’m talking about transcends politics.

Whatever your beliefs, try to set them aside for a moment.

For this is about us, people just like you and me who aspire for more from our lives, even while we struggle to live together without killing, harming or taking advantage of each other.

Perhaps it would help to stop for a moment to talk about where we’re going — or at least, where we want to go. After all, it is the urge for this that is behind the Great Awakening.

We’re now transitioning from a world of domination and control, into one of inspired individuality and cooperative effort. Or at least, the window is opening for us to make that choice.

But the place we are now doesn’t look that way as the powers that be hold tighter to the reigns to keep us in line, even while the people try to push them aside.

We’re mad as hell with the old ways, and many are ready to fight to change them.

The problem is, too often we’re fighting each other rather than those in control, fighting to take back our sovereignty and clean up the mess created by those who have usurped it.

Just look at Facebook or Twitter. Everyone’s locked into their side’s view of things, and ridicule and antagonize those who don’t see it that way.

It looks like everybody hates everybody else. That’s a sad way to live.

Like the old radio show went, “Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men. Only the Shadow knows for sure.”

Well, the Shadow knows that evil lurks in all of us, tweaking our egos and playing upon our darkest aspects, all the while blocking out the light that would transform it all.

Only we can defeat the evil and darkness that live within us. And if we’re going to change the world, that’s where we’ve got to start.

When enough of us do, we’ll move through this period of conflict into the Golden Age, where people realize all the fighting isn’t taking them where they want to go, much less bringing peace and prosperity for all.

As we move deeper through this time of changes into the Age of Aquarius, peace and love and understanding will eventually become the norm, and not some pipe dream fed to us by clerics or dreamers.

But getting there could be a rough ride.

Because people would rather fight than switch. Their identities are too wrapped up in the way they see things now, especially the tribal instincts that fuel their polarity and our political wars.

But as Klaatu in the remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still said, “When we get to the precipice, we change.”

    That precipice is getting closer.

So it’s a race to awaken and turn away, or continue on our present course until we’re all destroyed.

I hope that we will. But to do so means we have to start seeing ourselves as something more than isolated egos pitted against all others to carve out a place in the world.

Self-interest must be balanced with caring and compassion, not out of altruism or social conscience, but because we see ourselves in others, and them in us.

And this is not something that can be accomplished by some all-powerful authority or tyrannical majority imposing it upon us, but only by awakening to the light that shines within.

Once then will we finally be able to put down the sword, not because it is taken away, but because we won’t need it anymore.

This is not the world we live in now.

Today, it is a dog-eat-dog world where the spoils of life go to those with wealth and power. And those without it are left in the cold, fighting for scraps just to survive.

It is a reflection of two attributes closely identified with the human condition — will and desire. Desire to get what we want, and avoid what we don’t. And the willingness to do whatever it takes to get our way, even if that means imposing our wills upon others.

Of course, there are many ways to get what we want. Working and earning the means to get it is prefered by society. But even that raises issues of ethics, morality and doing the right thing, not to mention the ever-present conflict of whose interests do we serve?

    Ours? Society’s? God’s?

Others, though, are less constrained by ethics or morality, or define them subjectively to the exclusion of others’ interests in favor of their own or those of the groups they identify with.

They have no problem taking what they want from others, even if it means using force or fraud to do it.

And if stacking the deck in their favor will help them get it, then that’s what they’ll do. Remember the old adage, “Them that’s got the gold make the rules.”

This is the consciousness at work in our political affairs – or rather, its lack.

Grand visions are espoused to convince the masses to give them power. Yet the visions are not their purpose, but rather the power to get for themselves and impose their views upon all of how things should be.

The New World, however, will not need leaders to make decisions for us.

Rather, it will be one where egos subordinate their wills to the Divine Source within, taking great pains to overcome the distortions imposed by inner conditions that predispose us to selfishness and doing harm.

And acting thus, is empowered to serve the greater good without the ego getting in the way.

Yet self-interest is not a condition society can drum out of us. Rather, it diminishes as we refine our ideas of who we are and what our lives are all about.

And as we do, develop a consciousness more attuned to the commonality and connections we share as cherished parts of all that is.

All of this will happen by following the Inner Voice, and doing the work necessary to hear and apply it in our lives.

But we each have to WANT IT for ourselves, and take the steps that will allow it to happen.

And that includes taking personal responsibility for the conduct of our common affairs and issues of governance.

Over a decade ago a concept was revealed to me that I call Spiritual Justice. It’s behind the Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights and Magna Carta, honoring the rights of the individual over those of the state.

    It goes like this:

We each have the right to go our own way to get the experiences we came for. And the responsibility to allow others to do the same.

Since every soul has the spiritual right to live the life it came for, no one size fits all approach will enable that to happen.

Since sovereignty resides with the individual over his or her life, then layers of the state that remove or reduce that sovereignty must be reduced.

For we have far more influence over what happens in our lives at a local level than we do nationally, where the politics of hate and division are more easily foisted upon us.

Therefore our need for government, especially centralized government at national and global levels, must diminish. Even state and regional governments will give way as well, as individuals assert their responsibility to live in peace with loving kindness toward each other.

But that’s not where we are today.

Instead, we fight over who will force us to do what, all the while asserting the authority of government and their corporate partners to make us do what they want us to do.

The Establishment has become the enemy of the world we want, for it has no interest in evolving to that place — unless they can control it all, and benefit from it along the way.

It is the clash of these forces that is behind the Great Awakening. For the Establishment serves the interests of those with the wealth and power to maintain the status quo. Those are the elites who sit at the upper crust of society, awash in money and power, and they’re not afraid to use it.

When they do, the needs of the people are usually ignored, at least until they can’t be any longer lest the whole house of cards comes tumbling down.

So what’s an Awakening Soul to do? How are we to walk our talk while denied the exercise of our sovereignty?

First is to call out the corruption and harm being done in our names, and press leadership to clean house. And if they don’t, then to use whatever power we have (like our vote) to put in people that will.

This alone will take tremendous will power, because we’ll have to set aside our petty differences and partisan divides to have the strength to take on the global establishment.

This is the promise of populism, which in essence is an anti-elite movement to return power to the people, people who for now are being effectively splintered through the Establishment’s divide and conquer tactics.

    But it doesn’t stop there.

For those who are interested in another such effort, I recommend you check out the Q Anon posts being analyzed on GAB and YouTube by Jerome Corsi. It shines a light on what’s going on behind the scenes to address the Deep State abuses here in the U.S. and abroad.

Second is to live in ways that bring out the best we have inside. With love and kindness, caring and compassion for all we meet.

You know, putting the Golden Rule in action.

As one who once shared the message of love offered by Jesus to show us the way, I feel great sadness that it never took hold.

For people don’t treat each other like they love them, but rather as adversaries to be opposed at every turn.

Therefore to get to the Golden Age, it’s especially important to avoid the tendency to fight, as well as not to manipulate others or circumstances to get what we want.

Remember, this inherent conflict is at the root of many of our problems, and if those who are awakening can’t start the process, there’s little hope for the rest of mankind.

Third, it’s to band together with others of like mind, who share our vision and ideals, and do business with organizations and institutions that live up to the principles we hold most dear. And avoid those that don’t.

This means not trying to go it alone.

Individuality is admirable. It is the reason we’re here. We’re each at the center of our universes.

But to move beyond the conflict requires we evolve toward an integrated whole where we can work in loose-knit coordination guided from within.

Whether that means building community, participating in cooperative projects or getting involved in social movements, you’ll know what to do. Your inner voice will tell you.

Only together can we get where we’re going, and someone has to set an example and show everyone else the way. I hope you’re one of those who will.

But it really isn’t about rallying others to our cause, or trying to force our ways upon anyone.

Rather, it’s simply to do our best to neutralize the harm now being done without creating more through our own distorted perceptions and misapplied inspirations.

And on the flip side, to bring out our best attributes rather than our worst, while following our own joy and passions, and trust that they will lead us where we need to go.

This evolution isn’t something we can force. It will only happen organically, one heart and mind at a time, as each opens to the light that shines within.

Eventually, those who fail to awaken will fall by the wayside. Until then, our job is to act as if the future we want is already here, and conduct ourselves accordingly.

That means going with love in all you think, say and do.

THAT is the true promise of the Great Awakening.

God bless you indeed. I am john.
