For our latest Red Robin HeritageCast we are delighted to be joined by current Halifax Panthers star and of course former Hull Kingston Rovers player Kevin Larroyer.
The second rower started his professional career with Toulouse Olympique. before moving to Catalans Dragons in the summer of 2012.
Whilst at the Stade Gilbert Brutus Kevin went on to make made 22 appearances for the Dragons before making the move to Craven Park in 2013 to sign for Hull Kingston Rovers.
Initially signed on a one year loan deal the second rower impressed enough to earn another one year loan deal after making 22 appearances and scoring seven tries.
In September 2015, the French international committed his future to Hull Kingston Rovers by signing a three-year deal.
Relegation from Super League in 2016 sadly brought an end to his time with the club though with Rovers exercising their right to rip up his contact after our heart breaking relegation from Super League.
Since leaving Rovers Larroyer has gone on to represent the Castleford Tigers, Bradford Bulls, Leigh Centurions and now the Halifax Panthers whilst also supporting Rugby League Cares with their Mental Health Support programme.

For our latest HeritageCast we are delighted to be joined by former Robin James Green.
James Green signed for Hull KR at the age of 17 and developed within the academy for 5 years before making his Super League debut against Bradford Bulls at Odsal in 2012. Before his Super League debut, James spent time on dual registration in 2012 with Workington Town making a handful of appearances gaining valuable first-team experience.
Green’s debut was an interesting affair, as he was placed on report and received retrospective punishment leading to a suspension.
A few more dual registration moves followed including stints with Batley Bulldogs and Gateshead Thunder during the 2012 and 2013 seasons. 2014 would be James’ breakout year at Hull KR and he would feature in almost every game for The Robins. He was voted as the Young Player of The Year, just before his 24th birthday. 2015 was another good year for James as he helped guide the club to a first Challenge Cup Final since 1986, but unfortunately, he wouldn’t get to run out at Wembley after Head Coach Chris Chester named him as 18th man.
2016 would be James’ final season at Rovers after signing a 2 year deal with newly promoted Leigh Centurions. Spells with Leigh, Castleford, Bradford Bulls and York City Knights have followed with James’ recently announced his retirement from the game aged just 30 years old, however, he has eyes firmly on his career after playing Rugby League with him recently launching his own company Green & Green, which specialises in Mortgages and Insurance.

In the penultimate episode of this seasons Red Robin Podcast we are delighted to be joined by Sky Sport's Rugby League presenter Jenna Brooks as she gives us a great insight to what life behind the camera is really like. Its play off time and for the first time since 2013 Hull Kingston Rovers are actually involved!
With a play off place guaranteed Rovers travelled to Headingley last Friday to take on the Leeds Rhinos in a game which meant nothing other then finding out who we will be facing in this weeks elimination game.
And with that in mind we are delighted to be joined by Hull KR Hull Live reporter James O'Brien as we look back at last weeks defeat and ponder what impact injuries to key players such as Matty Parcell will have when we take on the Warrington Wolves this Friday.
We also discuss Will Maher's new contract and congratulate the clubs women's side after they achieved promotion to the Championship after they achieved a 28-16 victory over Dewsbury Moor Ladies on Sunday.

In this weeks Red Robin Podcast we are thrilled to be taking about a potential place in the play offs rather than our usual struggle at the foot of the Super League table.
Rovers produced a heroic backs to the wall performance on Saturday evening at a raucous Craven Park with the lads rightfully coming away with the 2 points. All focus is now on Fridays final regular season fixture against play off rivals Leeds Rhinos.
This week we try and predict our line up ahead of Fridays fixture with Leeds now it has been confirmed that Ryan Hall and Greg Minikin will play no further part this season.
We also react to the news that Jimmy Keinhorst and Will Dagger will continue to wear the red and white of Hull Kingston Rovers after signing new deals.
And there is also the small matter of a new club crest to discuss!

In this weeks Red Robin Podcast we preview our crucial game against the Castleford Tigers at Craven Park on Saturday night as the club looks forward to a do or die battle under the floodlights against out play off rivals. We look back at our entertaining victory over the Leigh Centurions at Magic Weekend and ponder who might miss out now that it has been confirmed Jordan Abdull is set to make his long awaited comeback from injury.
There is disappointing news to mull over as well after Tony Smith revealed George Lawler isn't fit to return and may have played his last game for the Robins due to a thumb injury whilst Korbin Sims will miss out yet again.
We also take a look at Rovers latest acquisition after it was announced Greg Richards will be joining the club from the London Broncos and we also discuss the news that Greg Minikin will be leaving at the end of the season to join Warrington Wolves whilst Ben Crooks has signed a one year contract extension.

In this weeks episode of the Red Robin Podcast we have decided to shake it up a bit and invited fellow Robins Mike Sexton, Ben Pearson and Alfie Suchy to join us to discuss whether our glass should be half empty or half full.
Painful defeats to Wakefield Trinity and Huddersfield Giants and an ever growing injury list has seen Rovers slip out of the play off positions with just three games of the regular season remaining.
There is still a chance of making the play offs though with Sundays trip to Newcastle to take on bottom placed Leigh Centurions being a bona fida must win game!
