  • Willie Nile , New Release “New York at Night”
WILLIE NILE TAKES ANOTHER BITE OUT OF THE BIG APPLE! Veteran rock ’n’ roll troubadour pays tribute to his adopted hometown NYC! New York City has always inspired me,” states Willie Nile. “I’ve lived in Greenwich Village for many years now, and I love being there. The energy, the grit, and the mystery of it all fills my heart with wonder. Most of these songs were written in New York or were inspired by it in one way or another.”Nile is referring to New York at Night, his 13th studio album and the strongest manifestation to date of his deep affinity for his adopted hometown. The album’s 12 personally charged new originals exemplify the artist’s trademark mix of romance, idealism, humor, emotional urgency and a true believer’s passionate embrace of all things rock ’n’ roll. Nile’s abiding passion for his town animates such tunes as "New York Is Rockin'" and the album's title track. The collection also features some resonant meditations on love, specifically “A Little Bit of Love,” “The Last Time We Made Love,” and “Downtown Girl.” “I believe in love,” Nile asserts. “It’s what makes life worth living. Life is hard for everyone and this world would be a sorry place without it.His loyal fan base includes such admirers as Bruce Springsteen, with whom he’s guested onstage on multiple occasions, and Pete Townshend, who personally requested him as the opening act on the Who’s historic 1980 U.S. tour. The list of avowed Nile fans also includes Bono, Lou Reed, Ian Hunter, Graham Parker, Jim Jarmusch, Little Steven, and Lucinda Williams

We have lost a lot of friends ,who had a major impact on what I consider the musical landscape. Their amazing vocals and energetic performances earned Girl Pow-R the following opportunities since their inception.JUNO-NOMINATED!! Girl Pow-R has been nominated for the JUNOs (like the Grammy’s) for ‘Album of the Year’ in the Children's category. And, that's really exciting because it's history-making. We are so excited to be part of the first-ever group of young people, or children, to be nominated for a Juno award in the Children's Category for Album of the Year. It is a history-making moment!Girl Pow-R’s sound is rooted in Pop-Rock, with the goal of inspiring others to be their best, through their music and lyrics. IIn addition to a passion for music, each girl in the group also has a social cause that they represent like advocating for better education for girls all around the world, youth homelessness, give peace a chance, mental health support and awareness, or all of us taking better care of our health through the foods that we eat.Girl Pow-R’s sound is rooted in Pop-Rock, with the goal of inspiring others to be their best, through their music and lyrics. Too often, young people are influenced by the thoughts and life experiences of singers and musicians who are in their late teens and their 20’s. It's time to give young people an alternative to these messages. In addition to a passion for music, each girl in the group also has a social cause that they represent like advocating for better education for girls all around the world, youth homelessness, give peace a chance, mental health support and awareness, or all of us taking better care of our health through the foods that we eat.Girl Pow-R was symbolically formed on International Women’s Day in 2017

  • Composer/guitarist/rapper/Di.J./producer Gene Pritsker
Composer/guitarist/rapper/Di.J./producer Gene Pritsker has written over seven hundred compositions, all of his compositions employ an eclectic spectrum of styles and are influenced by his studies of various musical cultures. He is the founder and leader of Sound Liberation; an eclectic hip hop-chamber-jazz-rock-etc. ensemble and co-director of Composers' Concordance and Eclectic Music eXtravaganza. Gene's music has been performed all over the world by many ensembles and performers. He has worked closely with modern jazz great Joe Zawinul and has orchestrated major Hollywood movies, Including 'Cloud Atlas', for which he also composed his ''Cloud Atlas Symphony’. The New York Times: "audacious...multitalented." The Music Connoisseur: ”dissolving the artificial boundaries between high brow, low brow, classical, popular musics and elevates the idea that if it's done well it is great music, regardless of the style or genre". Raul DaGma writes in his article ‘Gene Pritsker: Varieties Of Musical Experience’: "Gene Pritsker is a modernist at heart. If there is something new to be said to describe an old form or even a formless old thing – as old as yesterday, that is – this extraordinary musician will be among the first to say it…All of his music is of the highest quality, audacious and witty, joyous and elevated, and incomparable to anything written and recorded. In all of this Gene Pritsker has created a singular vocabulary, spoken not only by someone deeply schooled in music, but also in history, theology and philosophy."
