Bryan Downey Was Born in Liverpool UK

Learned to play guitar @7 years old 

Joined the British army in 1975 to escape the un-employment epidemic.

(Also because I saw a picture of my dad in uniform.)

Left the Army in 1980 after serving 3 tours of Northern Ireland (this felt

wrong as my ancestry was Irish).

1980 Moved to France to be a traveling singer in vacation resorts.

1986 after being tired of COVERS, he put the guitar down and moved to the

US. A dart thrown at a map landed me in NANTUCKET. and CAPE COD

  He pursued photography and went to school in NY.

Moved to San Francisco in 1996 to pursue CINEMATOGRAPHY

  He was also free lancing photography for the "SAN FRANCISCO EXAMINER

CHRONICLE" and landed a huge front page spread.

On the arrival of my first child Georgia in 1998 he decided to move back

to LONG ISLAND NY and worked as a general contractor.

Being frustrated with lame recording studios , in 2009,He built his his own for his own use ( Bulldog Studio's)

  Within one hour of his website being launched, he  received  a

call from HBO. He then rented his studio with Liev Schreiber to produce a show called

HARD KNOCKS". 

THEN CAME RICHARD GERE, THALIA, JAY-Z, BLYTHE DANNER,RICHARD KIND. DISNEY, NFL, NPR, PBS ANY MANY MORE FOLLOWED!

INSTANT SUCCESS!

HE THEN WENT ON TO Work on "DORA THE EXPLORA"

In the same year I founded 'HAMPTON SINGER SONGWRITERS" AND DID OVER 30

SHOWS IN BAY STREET THEATER.

He looked around open mics for people singing originals and gave them a venue to perform without covers. 

  It was a huge hit and singers from all over NY applied for spots.

BRYAN NOW GOES ON TO PRODUCE MANY YOUNG TEENS AND LOVES TO LEARN FROM THE EXPERIENCE.

Xany Rudoff is a Los Angeles-based acclaimed artist who has also parlayed her talents in acting, interior design and wardrobe styling. Born in Pasadena, CA to an artist mother and art historian father, Rudoff moved with her family to the desert expanse of Apple Valley, CA, a site that would be crucial for her artistic development. In the wide, empty nothingness of the desert landscape, there were no limitations to Rudoff’s imagining, and upon returning to Los Angeles proper to get her B.A. in fine arts at the University of California, Los Angeles, she was able to see the city and the art world from the outside. This sort of perspective is what has driven her to remain independent, outside of the gallery system, and to advocate for artists’ right to receive royalties for the resale of their works.

  My latest series of work combines these passions together by taking the albums I grew up listening to and the rock stars I idolized and transforming them into modern day Icons - lusterized in gold and lacquer echoing the same techniques that have been used by artists for centuries throughout the Byzantine and Renaissance era. These paintings take the familiar and transcend into the iconic, an exultant and exuberant example of modern-day devotion.

~Celebrating 25 years In Sonoma there is a Legendary Festival that takes place, The B.R. Cohn Fall Music Festival.

It’s hard to believe we’ve been doing this for 25 years now,” reflects Bruce Cohn, sitting in his office on the winery grounds, recalling the early days of the B.R. Cohn Charity Events Fall Music Festival. “The very first show we did featured Graham Nash, Nicolette Larson and Little Feat and we made a whopping $500.”

“It was a beginning,” Cohn says. “It kept growing each year and eventually it took on a life of its own.”

This year’s lineup on Saturday and Sunday, September 24 and 25 includes The Doobie Brothers,  Leon Russell, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Little Feat, Sammy Hagar, Joe Satriani, Jim Messina, Greg Kihn and Sonoma favorite Carlos Reyes.

Bruce Cohn, manager of the Californiarock band, The Doobie Brothers, purchased the original area in 1974. He named the property the Olive Hill Estate Vineyards after the grove of 145-year-old olive Picholine Olive trees, from which he continues to make ultra-premium olive oil

After selling grapes to other wineries for several years, Cohn founded his own winery, B.R. Cohn,  The winery hosts an annual charity Fall Music Festival and golf event since 1987.   Bruce Cohn continues to live on the estate, from where he manages both the Doobie Brothers band and the wine and oil operations.
