In this morning's message from Revelation 4, we see what John saw, a God who is the all sovereign, all glorious creator of all things, and is worthy to receive unceasing, unending worship from all of creation, and from all of his redeemed people.

In the last of the seven letters, Jesus speaks to the self-deluded church in Laodicea, who think they are rich but are not. We also learn here the real meaning of -Behold, I stand at the door and knock . . .-

The church in Philadelphia is the high point of the seven churches. With no rebuke given, it is the picture of a faithful church, and Christ describes several blessings to that church.

In this message we look at Jesus's message to the church in Sardis, a church that, like the city, is a shadow of its former self. Christ warns the church that they must wake up and turn to the Lord, if they want to avoid judgment.

In this middle message of seven to the church, Jesus speaks strongly about judgment within the church upon those who will not repent of their sin, but holding out the promise of the greatest of blessings on those who do.

In this message to the church in Pergamum, the Lord addresses the church that has its main battle line well fortified, but is letting enemies in through the back door.

In the message of the Lord to the church, the church in Smyrna is commended for its faithfulness and exhorted to not be fearful in the face of a coming intensification of persecution, and to be faithful even unto death, with a great promise held out to them.

In Jesus' message to the first of the seven churches, the church of Ephesus, the Lord addresses a church that is busy in service, and concerned about godliness, but that has abandoned the love which is is critical to the life of the church.

In the opening vision of the book of Revelation, John is called to his task of writing the book in the midst of a powerful revelation of the biblical figure of the Son of Man.
