LT. Colonel Aguilar was hired a a private contractor, he figured he would work to help USA feed hungry and suffering people of Gaza, he discovered a heart-braking reality that led him to resign but before that, he shot videos showing the reality of what US and IOF assassins are doing there.

As more than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed seeking aid at militarized aid distribution sites run by the U.S.- and Israel-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, a former GHF security contractor tells Democracy Now! he saw U.S. mercenaries and Israeli forces commit war crimes by indiscriminately shooting at starving Palestinians waiting for aid.

“What I witnessed in Gaza, I can only describe as a dystopian, post-apocalyptic wasteland,” says Anthony Aguilar, a retired U.S. soldier who worked as a subcontractor with UG Solutions in the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation aid delivery operation.

We speak with leading Israeli American historian Omer Bartov about his latest essay for The New York Times, headlined

Bartov cites the United Nations definition of “genocide,” which includes an intent to destroy a group of people that makes it impossible for the group to reconstitute itself. “This is precisely what Israel is trying to do,” he says.

“Israel is trying to concentrate the population of Gaza in the southernmost parts of the strip, to enclose them and to enforce, eventually, either that they would just die out there or that they would be removed from the Gaza Strip altogether.”

Quentin Muller quitte Marianne après des divergences sur la couverture de Gaza. Depuis le 7 octobre 2023, le traitement médiatique du conflit soulève des questions de censure. Muller revient sur cette bataille de l’information dans cet entretien.

Quentin Muller a choisi de quitter Marianne ! Il l'a annoncé le 15 avril, dans un communiqué sur son compte X. On comprend entre les lignes de ce communiqué qu’il a eu des divergences de vision entre la direction du Média détenu par le Milliardaire Daniel Kretinsky. En cause notamment, la ligne à suivre sur Gaza. Le traitement médiatique des massacres perpétrés par Israël à Gaza est au cœur de plusieurs interrogations depuis le 07 octobre 2023. Entre intimidations, pressions, censure, auto-censure… Le travail journalistique a montré des limites, parfois partisanes. La plupart des horreurs restent même invisibles de nos grands médias. Aujourd’hui, on s’interroge sur la censure médiatique qui entoure cette guerre. Alors que les civils palestiniens paient le prix fort, une autre bataille se joue depuis le tout début : celle de l’information. Nous essaierons de lever le voile sur les mécanismes de cette censure médiatique. Comment l’occupation se prolonge jusque dans nos écrans et nos journaux ?
