Redeem Church

This week on the Redeem Midweek Podcast Liz and Kurt interview three leaders in the class of 2020. Haileigh, Lisi, and Caleb share how they are processing the world right now, insights on how we all can best love our teenagers during this time, and why they are so hopeful for this next generation. We are blessed to have these young leaders in the Redeem community!

This week Pastor Dave explores John 5 where Jesus asks a man what seems to be an impossible question then tells him to do an impossible task. We look at a supernatural interaction between Jesus and a sick man at a pool. There are some powerful lessons to apply if we have ears to hear and a heart to receive. There is some reading between the lines to help us contemplate what might be happening and how it might relate to us in the story.

This week we interview Denise Callaway. She shares her testimony and her thoughts on how to have unstoppable faith even during a time of illness. This is a message that will encourage you as she shares incredible wisdom for our entire community.

John begins his gospel by penning the title or name of Jesus before he became a human and was called Jesus. He calls him “the Word”. This week Pastor Dave shares the latest online message "My New Neighbor". He goes into depth about the significance of the passages in John 1 and what it means for each of us. John's Gospel - Dave Resinger by Redeem Church

This week's message focuses on the death and resurrection of Jesus. His death provides for us eternal life that can be obtained now, inwardly. A life that can be demonstrated now outwardly before we pass into our eternal home. Let’s dive in and reflect on the amazing truth that Jesus

provided us with the greatest miracle we sinful people could have ever hoped for.

Today we celebrate when Jesus gets on a donkey and rides into Jerusalem facing certain death. The people go crazy because they had never seen sick people healed, demons cast out, teaching that flipped the social religious structure of the day, people raised from the dead, nor a man who just loved others so well. They start yelling out “Hosanna, our promised Messiah”. Dr. Marty Schafer shares that if we let go of some of our preconceived ideas of what we think happened on Palm Sunday, this entry into Jerusalem will be seen as a definite shift of power by one of the boldest moves of all time.
