To follow Jesus in a world of chaos takes courage! The church in Smyrna is encouraged by Jesus to keep believing, to never be afraid, and to be courageous in the midst of suffering. 

David teaches about the joy of forgiveness using his own testimony. What are the prerequisites for experiencing forgiveness with God? 

Jesus speaks to the church in Ephesus. He highlights their strengths, confronts their weaknesses, and calls them to practical repentance. He also gives a promise to those who overcome. 

The most famous Psalm in the world has a simple but profound idea: "The LORD is my shepherd. I shall not want." Let's break it down. 

God is not silent and he wrote a book. The Bible is God's verbal communication. In it he communicates to us how we can be redeem in Christ and how we can live a life for his glory. 

In our Wednesday night teaching we are asking the question - "How can we be faithful followers of Jesus in the midst of a culture in crisis?" In this series we will look at the seven letters from Jesus to the seven churches of Revelation (Revelation chapters 1-3) and outline seven values to walk in as a church and as Christians. We set it all up by starting an overview of Revelation 1.

God is not silent. David celebrates how God reveals himself in nature. Next week we will conclude Psalm 19 with how God reveals himself in scripture. 

How does God deliver us through Jesus? 

David's song of thanks in Psalms 18 is messianic. It points to the One who came to deliver us from sin, satan, society, and the wrath of God. 

David is waking up the worst day of his life. It is a day of sadness and fear. In this morning prayer he determines he will not be afraid.
