When we talk about “signs,” often we are just talking about things or events that take place by coincidence.

But in John’s gospel, he takes signs very seriously.

More specifically, he records seven miraculous signs that Jesus does.

Scholars note that based on the selection of the seven miracles, and how John weaves it into the narrative of the gospel, that John wants to communicate something very important through these signs.

So each week, we will dig deeper into the meaning of each sign so that we can have a better understanding of how Jesus is our Messiah, our God, so that we may have life in Him.
