God has spoken, finally and definitively, in his Son. Now the writer of Hebrews moves to describe that Son in seven statements. The preacher of Hebrew believes that remaining faithful to Jesus in a culture that is hostile to him, we have to understand who this Son is.

In this first installment of the Hebrews series, Pastor Aaron explores some introductory questions regarding the book of Hebrews such as What is Hebrews? Who wrote it? To Whom is Hebrews written? When and Where? And most importantly, Why? Pastor Aaron closes by reflecting on the benediction/prayer at the end of the book (13:20–21).

June 24 marked the first Baptism Sunday at Redeemer Bible Church. We also had our first Family Covenant ceremonies (like child dedications). We had four families make covenants regarding their children. After the service we had nine people proclaim their trust in Christ and union with him in baptism. This teaching briefly explains our view of the meaning and significance of baptism from Romans 6.

The Kingdom of God is a theme that can be traced through the entire biblical storyline. The Kingdom of God was also a central emphasis in Jesus' teaching. This week Pastor Aaron explores the idea of King and Kingdom in the Bible with implications of our place in the Kingdom as its citizens while we are residents of this world (1 Peter 2:1–12).
