Every person, whether they acknowledge it or not, wants to be accepted and be seen being right. We want to be accepted by those around us and even deeper than that, we want to be accepted by God. In this sermon Ps Anthony unpacks Luke 16:14-18 which on the surface seems a little random (a heated dispute about money, impressing people, the nature of the Old Testament, and divorce and remarriage) but there is one consistent point; a person cannot have right standing with God by their own efforts. What do you really love most, God or stuff? Are you someone who craves the acceptance of people? Do you think you can impress God with your good morals and religious living?
