  • Gone

Join us this Easter Sunday at Redeemer for a powerful celebration of Jesus’ victory over death. Our theme will be a simple one – “Gone!” Together we will see how the risen Christ removes our shame, our sin, and every shadow of fear. Christ is risen, and with his resurrection, every obstacle to a life-giving relationship with God is simply gone. Bring friends, family, and anyone who needs to hear the good news that the grave is empty—and Jesus is GONE!

  • An Eye for An Eye

When Jesus rode into Jerusalem on that first Palm Sunday, the crowds expected a triumphant conqueror—someone to overthrow their oppressors and exact revenge. But instead of swords and vengeance, Jesus brought a kingdom of humility and sacrifice. He came not to pay back but to give himself up, fulfilling his radical call to “turn the other cheek.” As we journey from the palm-strewn road to Golgotha, we’ll see how Jesus’ passion, death, and resurrection perfectly embody what he taught in Matthew 5:38–42: love your enemies, resist retaliation, and trust in a God whose justice is fueled by mercy. Join us as we discover how true victory over evil often looks far different from the world’s expectations.

  • The Heart Wants What the Hearts Wants

“The heart wants what it wants," but is that always a good thing? Jesus tells us that the condition of our hearts determines the fruit of our lives. The problem? Our hearts are naturally broken and bent toward sin. But the good news is that God doesn’t just patch up our old hearts—He gives us brand-new ones! Join us as we explore how God transforms our desires, renews our spirits, and leads us to want what He wants through the power of the Gospel and his Holy Spirit.

  • You Only Live Once

You have heard it said: “You only live once!’ The phrase is everywhere: on social media, in pop culture, and embedded in our pursuit of pleasure. But does the popular ‘YOLO’ motto capture the fullness of reality—or does it limit our vision of what life truly is? In this sermon, we’ll delve into the biblical perspective that challenges a strictly hedonistic approach. John 5:24-30 reminds us that eternal life starts now in Christ, and that our existence can be fueled by hope, purpose, and abundant life rather than short-term thrills. Join us on Sunday, March 30, to rediscover how YOLO doesn’t have to be an excuse for self-centered indulgence, but an invitation to step into the new and abundant life Jesus offers.

  • Look Out for Number One

If you don’t look out for yourself, no one will. This is a dog-eat-dog world, and only the strong survive. If you want to go far in life, you must do whatever it takes to get ahead. Yet, in a world that teaches us to look out for number one, Jesus flips the script. In Matthew 20:20-28, we see a bold request for power met with an unexpected lesson on true greatness. While the world measures success by status and authority, Jesus calls us to a different standard—one of humility and servanthood. Join us as we explore the tension between power and service, ambition and sacrifice, and discover what it truly means to be great in the kingdom of God.

  • The One Who Dies with the Most Toys Wins

“Toys”—a great representative word for the “stuff” we are constantly tempted to buy, use and enjoy for ourselves. Our culture, now driven mostly by online shopping, leads us to evaluate and assess the value of products, services and experiences when we encounter them online. But there is a larger issue at play: the more wealth we have, the more money we make, the more we are tempted by the message that we need to fill our lives with “toys” instead of participating in God’s generosity. God made you for this generosity, which comes from him and is expressed most in the life of his son, Jesus!

  • God Won't Give You More Than You Can Bear

You have heard it said: “God won’t give you more than you can bear.” But what if that’s not what Scripture really says? As we begin our Lenten journey, we’ll revisit one of the most quoted—but often misquoted—Bible verses. Together, we’ll explore what 1 Corinthians 10:13 truly means and how God’s presence and power help us in times of deep struggle. Join us on Sunday, March 9, to discover a more hopeful, biblical perspective on suffering—one that points not to our own capacity but to God’s sustaining grace.
