In this sermon from the series, "Formed," Pete Nicholas explores Exodus 20:8-11 and the biblical relationship between work and rest.
In a city where achievement, productivity, and constant availability can quietly shape our identity, it's possible to either diminish work or become enslaved to it. But Scripture offers a better way. Work is a gift that reflects the character of God, while Sabbath rest reminds us that our worth isn't earned through performance. Ultimately, true rest isn't found simply by doing less, but by coming to Christ, who lifts the burdens we were never meant to carry and invites us into lasting freedom.
