Can the reason you’re in New York be bigger than than the endless opportunity it has to offer?
In this sermon from the Vision & Values series, Pete Nicholas explores a deeper vision for life in the city: not using it for personal ambition, success, or status, but learning to live for Jesus within it.
Drawing from Isaiah 62, this message reframes the purpose of the church and of discipleship. Christians are called to seek the renewal of their community through lives shaped by righteousness, compassion, and conviction.
The city will always ask what you want to gain from it. But the gospel asks a different question: what would it look like to be in alignment with God so much that you begin to serve the city instead of using it for yourself?
